Having a company behind software means you can pay to have your bugs fixed. Big distros want that stability for their corporate customers. It’s no secret or anything. KDE has sponsors, but doesn’t have a direct relationship with a huge contractor like RH. Same reasoning for systemd.
Politics, basically.
Voodoo cards had glide, that ut99 supported. Worked great.
If I assume you are asking, instead of making a statement. Then i am not able to answer since i seem to be unable to see any comments on this post.
Maybe some moderator had a bad day, as only this world news is like that while the whole rest of lemmy.world works fine. Would be nice if i got any… anything about it. Seems harsh.

No, not really.
Safety third - chaotic chat podcast from sciency/maker youtubers.
That is not a question ?
Because not using OOP is hard for gui devs.
By that logic, it’s the same for usa.
No, it’s just not viable. Just maintaining the vacuum is hard and takes a lot of energy. Keeping it from imploding onto the high speed train is also very hard.
It does not need experimenting, it is known already.
It is and always was a scam (or just simple stupidity, or both).
The beam is reeeealy wide by the time it gets there. Still a great achivement, though.
Rex Krueger, Stumpy Nubs, Jonathan Katz-Moses , Bourbon Moth Woodworking for woodworking.
AlphaPhoenix, Applied Science for science.
Strange Loop Conference, and many such other for programming.
Nah, sry. I just heard/read about them. One thing is using an inverter to control power instead of on/off timing. Other is using a bunch of sensors, that i remember as an idea many years ago.

Seems to have both (i just googled “fancy microwave” and it was the first result :)).
For my needs just a timer dial is enough.
Cost-benefit is not there. You can buy fancy ones that do some such things, but they are expensive.
SystemD sucks. You know, the truth.
Kubuntu for that win7 similarity. (It’s still official ubuntu)
Raylib.
Yea. They have worse efficiency. To get better efficiency from them you would need to run them hotter (afaik), and if you do that they would last even shorter.
It’s great if you want a smaller but still strong engine, but it’s not efficient and those seals are a big problem.
Unix domain sockets, shared memory (classic and/or over anonymous file descriptors), file system in userspace, the (ms) ini format.
Was going to sleep when i wrote that.
