Let us know when you start counting it in decades. Those lumps probably aren’t anything bad, right?
Negative. I am a meat popsicle.

Yeah, I’d disable that if I could. I’d much rather have no thumbnail than an animated one.
Since the requests it uses to fetch communities from the remote instances are unauthenticated, it won’t show you any that are marked NSFW.
Thanks for pointing that out. I had noticed that it was omitting nsfw and meant to ask you at some point.
What is it with people who think everything they don’t like should be illegal? Have you never read a history book? Authoritarianism is bad mmkay
Marmot makes great rain gear. I use their light rain jacket and pants for my backpack kit and it’s surprisingly lightweight and still functional. Not cheap, tho.
It’s okay, we give you permission.

Hello everybody,
Alex from Immich here. What a controversy that we caused with the choice of wording, right? My personal apology to you all.
On behalf of the team, we would like everyone to know that we hear your concerns and we appreciate the love and care that you all have expressed for the project. At the end of the day, what we want most is to make sure you are all happy using the app.
With that said, we are working on a change to the word license: we will not call it licensed or unlicensed anymore. What will it be called?
We are still thinking of different options to make the wording less confusing. The new wording will hopefully showcase our intentions properly going forward.
We’re also working on updating the FAQ with more information to clarify those intentions. We just want to provide good software that people will want to pay for whilst not limiting your usage in any way if you can’t.
So expect these changes over the next week. We’re pushing this out now to let you know our appreciation for the feedback you’ve given us.
The amount of purchases in the first 24 hours has been overwhelming. Thanks everyone for the great support!
Have a great weekend!
Immich team.
While the Sky voice and a version of ChatGPT Voice have been around for some time, the comparison to Johansson became more obvious due to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and many others, drawing the similarity between the new AI model and the movie “Her”.
When your CEO inadvertently helps build a copyright suit against your product… Not a good look.
Accountability time: No “maybe” about it… You didn’t follow the instructions and then you say it didn’t work for you. Well of course not. You never gave it a chance.
This is like buying a nailgun and then ignoring all safety warnings, you use it like a hammer and accidentally shoot your kneecap with it. So you call it defective and return it to the store, telling everyone hammers work better for you. Okay, maybe that’s a strained analogy.
Ahh, I see how it could be interpreted that way. I’ll just pretend this is asked in good faith, despite it being just an off-topic rhetorical jab at the state of the US government.
Why can’t they regulate capitalism when it comes to important shit.
The US government can do this (as opposed to your favored issues) for two reasons: 1) This is executive action by the Biden administration, not requiring Congress. 2) This is inherently uncontroversial, even popular. 81% of Americans have an unfavorable view of China. It is one of the few things Americans agree on with such strong bi-partisan support, thereby making China an easy punching-bag for campaign season.
Further, I would contest the assertion that the Biden administration isn’t also doing those other things, to the extent that is feasible, given the currently widely divided state of our government.
…This article is about the US government doing exactly that. Did you read anything other than the headline?
The US government has allegedly revoked Qualcomm’s and Intel’s licenses to sell chips to Huawei
Going to Lemmy and asking this is like going to Truth.Social and asking about resources for helping trans teens.
The fat cells behave the same as before they were transferred. The number of fat cells mostly stays the same when you lose weight, just depleting the fat reserves within the them. So yeah, you’d mostly re-gain it in the same cells.
You’ll have to try it and see if it works for you. It hasn’t been studied as much, but there is evidence some people find better success with a low dose of a stimulant (or sometimes welbutrin) along with the atomoxitine versus either one by itself.
Who needs a timer? Just last month I changed the batteries on my smoke alarm…
It is plausible that they might slow down traffic coming in via those 3rd party apps. Certainly they know, for example, who uses Infinity vs the Reddit app. Obviously they want to control the client to force ads on users.
