and their criminal records.
Conservatives will see that someone has statutory rape charges or 34 felony counts and go “well this one seems like my candidate”
And the problem isn’t just in the US; conservatives pretty much around the world are just as deranged, and it’s become obvious that until we somehow deal with the danger they represent, peaceful democratic societies are in danger.
Knowing conservatives, I’d be surprised if the majority wasn’t not only tolerant but actually supportive of this unhinged shit. The handful of conservatives who aren’t shitty people might be turned off by this, but I suspect that even for many of them it might be more a question of optics and how this’ll affect their chances to win than any real disagreement with what Trump’s saying
ban anyone that thinks differently.
Incredibly disingenuous of you to paint this as being about a simple difference of opinion, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that a right-leaning person is completely unable to have a good faith discussion about anything. I’ve had conservative acquaintances say to my face that the world would be a better place if gender minorities like me didn’t exist; this isn’t about them fucking “thinking differently” you moron, they don’t even want me to fucking exist, and you have the nerve to whine about it
Banning the party isn’t going to help.
Like I say of Trump, the AfD isn’t the problem, they’re a symptom. Conservatism and conservatives themselves are the problem – the question is how should we deal with them, and I really don’t know the answer to that.
Edit: just to clarify, I’m not saying the AfD shouldn’t be banned, just that banning the party won’t change the people who vote for it and run it.
That’s known as a ligature and they’re pretty common in many programming-oriented fonts, which usually have stylistic sets with different ligatures for different programming languages that you can optionally enable in your editor’s configuration. For example, here’s the stylistic sets the Monaspace font offers:
Personally I’m not too fond of ligatures so I never enable any, but many folks do like them.
Edit: and just as a side note, ligatures are super common in many fonts, you just might not notice them. Here’s some classic examples from the DejaVu Serif font, with and without a ligature:
"A".reverse() == "∀"
Where is your god now?!

Not nearly as horrifying as advertised
Where’s your sense of adventure?!
Calling reverse()
on a function should return its inverse
You’re no fun
Use a dynamically typed language and you won’t have to: just override the default reverse()
method on strings like a Real Programmer!
Unintended consequences you say? Nonsense! What could possibly go wrong?
"E".reverse() == "∃"
Ah, I managed to completely miss the last part of the comment because I’m an eejit who can’t read good
In 2017 his name was mentioned as a visionary comparable to the Wright Brothers and Zefram Cochrane (inventor of the warp drive) on a Star Trek episode set in the 2250s.
By a character who was explicitly evil and whose judgement we were not meant to trust, though
Oh yeah somebody else had Parasaurolophus as their fave too earlier, and they (well, the reconstructions anyhow) really do look super cute. Dinocows!
Definitely both – although still probably better to be more concerned about the billionaires
This is very recursive and I’m here for it.
Surprisingly few downvotes so far.
