Some might, I think we’re coming up on an interesting ethical impasse with this tech
Stuff like this makes me think we’re witnessing so many crimes that we don’t have a names for yet.
People focus on merch and branding WELL before they have any business model all of the time. It’s totally possible they paid for a $50 custom sticker, and locked down a domain name for 10 years, and hadn’t even applied for a business license.
Edit: watched the video, the rear windows are a different shape I don’t think these are the same cars.
No luck googling canas garage in Washington state, must be their twitch channel or something.
No one is arguing that people shouldn’t get their cars keyed for parking like assholes, so that’s beside the point. I said it because it was funny reading exactly into what they said in the context of this conversation. You’re translating their intent correctly, but that’s not very funny to me. Anyways have a nice day.
They said they do that “regardless” implying they either key cars regardless of whether they park illegally or not Or they key cars that park illegally regardless of whether they’re disabled or not. I’m not defending or attacking anything. It was a confusing use of regardless and I thought it was funny enough to point out.
Well we can make it Cana’s Garage’s problem.
Regardless of whether they park legally? Or are you handicapped semi regularly?
Reporting these incidents makes martyrs of Iran’s victims. I believe the overwhelming majority of people everywhere want justice, human rights, and peace for everyone. People are affected by news like this.
We live in a global society. The NGOs and governments that work with Iran give them the resources that allow this kind of power imbalance to begin with. The good and imperfect way is unfortunately martyrdom, journalism, organized resistance, and patience through the horrors for peace to come.
In every war both sides gain their own martyrs, and that’s what makes so many of them perpetual even after the fighting stops. That’s not perfect or good.
I sincerely hope he does, but I think it’s pretty sad that someone conflates kindnesses with pity.
I hope you don’t shout at real life five year olds
I’ve found and love my vintage Pyrex measuring cups and completely agree, the new ones are sloppy compared to what they once were. If you live near a city you’ll see a lot of them on Craigslist, marketplace, or estate/move out auctions to find some older sets. If not you can find some online for about double what you’d expect to pay from local sellers, just be on the look out for any cracks or chips if you can’t see them in person before buying.
Plus it feels good to buy used and reduce landfill fodder.
Nice try vampires, keep your cookies and watery oj
First of all, I respect your point of view and I share your anger. That said, if there’s no middle ground then any bloody revolution will turn into another Reign of Terror. Peaceful revolutions are a fairly recent phenomenon and violent revolutions have historically been shifting the power from violent leaders to violent revolutionaries who themselves become violent leaders. There needs to be a middle ground otherwise, it’s just changing the meat we collectively put in the grinder.
I used to work with this mean miserable guy and there were so many times a lot of us would try to cheer him up. Share food, invite to after work drinks, movies, concerts, just include him. He never took anyone up on it, ever. After a friend of mine left that job and confronted him about his shitty attitude and self alienation, he just said, “I don’t want your pity.”
Ironically, after I heard that I stopped sympathizing and did just pity the guy.
Isn’t it weird that we can hear him say that in our heads so clearly but imitating it is impossible.
Is this Mario San Serif?
Really interesting episode of This American Life covered a patent trolling and a lot of the finer points regarding patent law. Episode 441
