definitely hate DST, but mostly because of the annual death toll it entails, and the fact that it makes no fucking sense.

as far as most disturbing thing to watch, probably the self-immolation of aaron bushnell back in february. i generally avoid the more messed up infamous internet stuff.
eta: more disturbing, but not quite as punchy due to not being a video, was a post i saw once about a young lady who picked at her legs so much, that they had to be removed. there was a lot of pictures. she eventually dug a hole straight through them.
let’s split the difference: usetilize,
when i was a kid, i figured it was a reference to some now obscure detective story, where a bowl of pudding contained the important clue as to who the killer was or something. it wasn’t until much later that i heard of this etymology.
i find this very easy on lemmy, in english. i’m usually talking to folks more than about them. if i do want to talk about someone, i’ll check their profile, or default to ‘they’ if data is lacking, but it’s a rare enough thing so as to be little burden.
i only ever get green onions a few weeks after buying an onion that i didn’t get around to cooking.
from the article it sounds like they aren’t getting overtime pay, or any pay at all for the extra work days. instead they’ve been promised some extra paid days off in the future, but only after their current project ends, and only if they don’t get laid off by that point.
i thought that was the funny here. is that not the joke?
not very much. honestly, only once or twice, for a laugh, which is probably still more than most folks lol
what you wrote sounds completely insane to me. sure i don’t use a mouse on my phone very much, but no way would i ever prefer a trackpad to a mouse for a desktop or laptop. and tons of people still carry a mouse to use with their laptops, based on my observations. i really think you may be an outlier here.
when i saw the headline, i briefly confused ‘sea shephard’ and ‘sea org’, and got a li’l hyped, ngl.
trickle down boopenom… fuck everyone already made the same joke.
pretty sure my uncle got put away for felonies ages ago.
pretty sure other people have been convicted of crimes before. he is fantastically old though. maybe he got sent to juvie back in his childhood hometown of Bedrock and was the first convicted criminal!
Nobody ever said less capable than Trump.
one nit to pick: i assure you, a lot of people harping on about biden’s ‘mental decline’ do in fact think trump is more capable, or at the very least are happy to claim to believe so. you’re clearly not one of them, but they exist in droves.
and if bernie had been elected, i suspect they’d make the same claims regardless of evidence to the contrary.
i support and oppose many things, but not enough to engage with your clickbait.
i can’t imagine that increased intracranial pressure feels good. maybe one guy was like ‘my head feels like it’s gonna explode’, and some other guy was like, ‘i’ve got an idea’. or maybe someone happened to get just the right kind of second head injury shortly after their first head injury that somehow made them get better. it’s a lot of unrecorded things happening back then. if only they had invented writing and wrote it down.
i think you’ve hit the nail on the head regarding why robbing recent graves is unethical; that is, it’s denying valuable data to the archeologists of 3024 CE.
