Why the “Western” in media here? Did “Eastern” media promote the opposite?
Did I say something stupid enough that you needed to check my profile?
Good, that was on purpose.

Let’s put it this way: If in our lifetime we can simulate the intelligence of a vinegar fly as general intelligence, that would be a monumental landmark in AGI. And we’re far, far, far away from it.
As far as the iron age was from the metal alloys used in the Space Shuttle.
Talking about AGI simulating higher intelligence at the level of a dog or a cat, dear I say a pigeon or a crow is as far fetched as expecting ancient Egyptians to harness the power of the atom.
Japanese budhist monks use black for their clothes as it simbolizes purity, or as black being the most pure color. In very few instances, they may wear purple or gold, but that’s due status and a latter addition.
In a funeral, only the deceased would wear white, I don’t remember why though, but for a while wearing white was in bad taste.
Wearing all black is also common for the Catholic clergy, and for a long time most brides used black for their wedding dress: https://kentuckykindredgenealogy.com/2014/12/13/history-of-the-black-wedding-dress/
" Imagine what we could accomplish together… what we could create. Or we could destroy! Cause the deaths of countless innocents in selfish battle again and again and again until we’re both dead! Is that what you want? Think about it, hero!"
“Mass Shooter Described As Sweet Boy Who Loved Shooting People”… WTF
Procastination is a fun costume our fears wear. I’ll do anything if I can avoid calling someone, it stresses me a lot. But knowing it and dealing with it helps me.
That said, roleplaying someone that’s good calling sometimes helps as catharso said. Just don’t do any MGS voice.
The life of the Wanderer is but to struggle. Alas once the struggle ends, life will too.
laziness is a symptom IMO, often a self-protection mechanism out of fear.
I’ve met many people that decided they’ll rather not do the thing than see themselves fail and prove whomever triggered that fear right.
Also IMO, when wired differently, some tasks are easier and some tasks take more work, but if we let ourselves (and others) judge us for how easy or hard a task is for us, we condition ourselves to avoid the latter.
Then again, I know people that had the right support behind them, and even though they initially sucked donkey balls at the thing, they powered through it and became mediocre, but very happy.
I want to be mediocre and happy. :)
Note: There’s no judge harsher than ourselves.
What’s up with the biker jacket?
Lile with Pavel Kushnir, somehow Russia is jailing and killing their brightest.
It’s odd how often I <java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException> myself as well.
I wouldn’t worry unless it tells you to feed it a cat.
Your dad and I think you should start looking for a job.
Oddly relevant video to both your comment and the post: https://youtu.be/VhJ7NmU6lJI

My reaction as well. At least Terry Pratchett left us too early but he is not touched by any of this shit.
I meant it as him and Gaiman being friends.
An actor? As a President?
They should have called it Friend Computer instead.
So, let me serenade you about my obscure passion until I either feel satisfied or you give up on social decorum.
