100% they have a group chat without you. Green bubble forces a group chat to become MMS, and nobody likes that.
“Seeming to have reasonable prices on the menu” - So you agree that it’s essentially deceit. Luring in hungry customers with cheap menu prices, then pulling a bait and switch with the service charge while telling a starving person they can go somewhere else if they don’t like it.
That’s very scummy.
Also, if they are tricking the customers, are they also tricking the health inspectors? Something to think about.
I believe the answer is yes. There were reports on Reddit about 6 months ago of people being banned for logging into Aurora Store. The workaround is to simply not log in.
RIP alcohol purchases or returns tho… many stores have begun enforcing policies that scan your id or refuse to service you. And if you think you can live without alcohol, just wait until they make you scan it as a condition to enter the store (like Amazon Go.)
The only saving grace is the barcode on an id is easily spoofed and can be generated by a 9 year old with access to Github.
