I’ve been using Kubuntu on my main laptop for a few years now, and I really enjoy having an environment that just works, doesn’t get in my way, and I don’t have to think about. That’s just the way it should be.
One option is to play the stream on your PC, and hook up the TV as another monitor using a HDMI or other video cable.
I think what you’re looking for is Standard of Living. The economy may be doing well but the standard of living is stagnant or going down for many.
