Would the fact he was disrespectful to the court (falling to sleep, badmouthing people on social media), shows no remorse (still claiming to be innocent despite overwhelming evidence against and a unanimous jury) and the fact there’re 34 charges against him (all unanimously guilty) not factor heavily into his sentencing. Also the reasoning behind what he did, to trick his way into the highest political position in America.

It hasn’t always worked for me, I can’t find any solution that consistently works, some days are just complete write offs, however, the Pomodoro Technique has had some success for me.

The tldr is you create a task list of jobs you need to do. Set a timer for 20 minutes and work on the first task in that time, once 20 minutes is up set a timer for 5 minutes, your reward, browse Lemmy, masturbate do whatever you want you’ve got 5 minutes. Another 20 minute timer for work then another five. After a set of 3 20 minutes take yourself a 15 minute break. Rinse and repeat.

But even knowing and experiencing that doesn’t make it any easier to start the next time :(

I’ve heard the dad put the lad up to it. He was tired of people walking across his land to take pictures of the tree. Allegedly I don’t have any proof for any of this other than word of mouth. I’ve also read it’s unlikely a 16yo that can’t drive got (what must have been a very large) chainsaw to the tree in the night during stormy weather and cut a tree down in a way that people claim to be more advanced than an amateur tree feller could. Again all conjecture but the comments I’ve seen making these claims went into details on they why’s they thought that and it felt convincing but I don’t know much on the topic. Either way it’s a tragedy, the tree had been there 100’s of years.
