“I would rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned.” - Rich Feynman
Guess it all comes down to your definition of makeover. In looking up the definition, it’s defined as “a radical change in appearance, it may imply a change in clothing, haircut, or cosmetics”. This being the case, I’d say the title’s spot on. But it all comes down to how you define makeover regarding if the titles misleading. It’s a bit ambiguous, so I see what you’re saying.
I feel it, but at the same time, where does the title imply the statues were damaged? It’s all about grabbing attention in order to bring focus to the disastrous situation we’re in with our environment.
While not every coin is decentralized as referenced above, you know it all inside and out. Especially since “gear heads” are definitely the only people capable of using a USB drive and keeping software up to date for cold storage.
You understand there’s over 13,000 cryptocurrencies, right? Your broad statement here is no different from stereotyping someone based on physical appearance. How many whitepapers, aka detailed business plans for coins, have you read? There are always scammers online, in every industry, across the board. But while there are many bullshit coins, there’s still unquestionably very solid options.
For example, BTC has no website, no office, no owner, and is fully decentralized. Other examples of decentralized coins include ETH, XMR, ZEC, LINK, DAI, GRT, AAVE, INJ, and MKR to name a few. It’s a great practice to research and analyze data before making a statement on topics you’re unfamiliar with, but to each their own.
Couldn’t agree more, I don’t even see the benefit here for Binance at all, this will be horrible for their PR. Especially since most crypto investors view cryptocurrency as a way to circumnavigate government financial control and the associated inflation. Regardless if you love or hate crypto, FUCK Binance through and through!
I believe Joplin still doesn’t have a web app unfortunately. StandardNotes does and it could help here too. I’d think just making a new note for each entry will time and date it, but any editing of the note would change the time stamp.
Not sources I know at all, just trying to provide something that an individual who thinks Scheerpost is Russian propaganda for some illogical reason will give more validity. All mainstream propaganda spins the story to paint the US as the hero, which alone should make you highly curious of the other side to the story.
But based on your user name, it makes way more sense a primative eukaryotic lifeform struggles to decipher the massive bias from mainstream news sources these days lol.
Ok, so you’re super critical only to concepts which oppose the side of the story you believe to be true? Have you ever applied this same level of scrutiny to the information you approve of? Until this takes place, you can’t logically be confident in your stance whatsoever. But, do whatever makes you happy, I won’t argue against it. Yet it’s ridiculous to write off anything in opposition just cause it’s not as you understand it.
Here’s the sources you more or less asked for, I made sure it’s from mainstream sources seeing as you’re opposed to independent media for whatever reason.
UK Government coving Ukraine in 2014: https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-9476/
Here’s a NewYorker article covering it too: https://www.newyorker.com/news/q-and-a/why-john-mearsheimer-blames-the-us-for-the-crisis-in-ukraine
Pretty similar to the US invasion of Ukraine in 2014 where the President left in desperation to prevent his murder. Two wrongs definitely don’t make a right, but after the US overthrew the country’s government they should have understood they were going to encounter retaliation at some point.
The only real option worthwhile is to get nerdy and play the same game. Change up how and what you connect online as well as running security and privacy based open source firmware + software on your devices. Aside from that, protesting would be another option with some teeth too!
Aegis is my absolute favorite for 2FA’s, give it a try for sure. Pretty sure it’s only available on Android unfortunately though.
If you’re talking OpenWRT, then I totally agree. But something like Asus Merlin is a relatively easy change and still provides additional protection. While part of the Asus code is closed-source, most is open-sourced and Asus has implemented improvements developed by the Merlin team. This shows Merlin knows what they’re doing and are trustworthy too.
Running as much open-sourced privacy oriented software as possible. This includes on computers, routers, and phones. While this is 100% a marathon, not just a quick change, it’s well worth the time. Utilizing an encrypted DNS would be another solid move. NextDNS is a fantastic choice as it has a free option which still provides granular control of what is filtered online. A trusted VPN mixing your internet traffic with others is great, but like you said, it’s not a magic bullet whatsoever.
In the big picture, it’s due to the microscopic world having massive implications across life. I’ve also lost friends and family to autoimmune disorders and cancer, so my long term goal is to improve our understanding in the field. Immunology is super fascinating, but there’s more we don’t know than we know about the immune system. We don’t even understand how fever works or Tylenol from start to finish for example!
What makes you stoked about physics?
Mines a toss up between microbiology and immunology, but I also totally get your favorite as it’s the basis for all sciences!
While this is all news to me, the biggest difference seems to be that MarkNote allows for rich text notes. I’m curious to know what I’m missing, cause I’d think they could have just added this to KleverNotes.
I’ve never noticed this, I’d bet it’s associated with your notification settings. My only gripe is that everytime my phone restarts, I have to open the app and reselected the ask first option for calling. Otherwise the number I don’t use associated with my service plan will be what I call from :/
It’ll allow for streaming from a camera directly into OBS. Unless I’m truly horrible with OBS, I currently can only get my screen and audio on a recording. I haven’t found an option to also have my camera feed be recorded along with audio, even with my camera as the mic. Meaning there’s no option to have your face in the bottom corner of a screen recording. So this will allow that to be possible.
Invidious has a related content option, it’s in the settings where you should definitely already go to ensure the proxy option is turned on too.
KDE is the way! I’ve heard KDE called the swiss army knife of DE’s, and I couldn’t agree more! I’d be curious to see a comparison of Gnome and KDE users previous OS. I’d bet KDE has more windows converts and gnome favors mac, but I really don’t hear about many mac folks switching to linux.
