Before the API changes Teddit was one of my favorite ways to browse Reddit. It seems like more and more that companies make changes that reduce privacy.
I used to use Boost for Reddit, but they’ve fallen victim to these shenanigans too. Apparently they’ll be releasing a Boost for Lemmy in the near future, which I’ll be happy to fork over a small amount to purchase a subscription to.
It’s awesome to see how a lot of the “mods” (since I don’t have a better word for that right now) are promoting lemmy.
It’ll take some time until it’s really robust and mainstream-friendly (federation mostly), but I have the feeling that we’ll be there very soon with the current developer-activity and influx of new contributors. The majority of the work has been done already by pretty much just 2 people (compare that to reddits employee count of ~2000).
