@BraBraBra, neither China nor any other country today is what should be praised as a political ideal. China is certainly a totalitarian regime, but in comparison it is no worse than the US, Russia or others where the greed and lust for personal power of an elite prevail over the common good.
Political ideology is one thing and quite another to find where it is applied and not just nominal for the public.
The US is far from perfect, but we are not currently committing a genocide against our citizens. We have a terrible for-profit justice system, but it’s not a genocide.
And, I can’t believe it needs to be said, but a country commiting a genocide is worse that a country that’s not.
True, but let’s be real here: it’s only true, because you started the genocide much earlier and at this point in time are basically done, besides when some holy site or other is in the way of building an environment destroying pipeline and necessitates a belated mop up operation on a scale small enough to be largely overlooked, especially by corporate media who couldn’t give a fuck about any genocide that can’t be used to further a profitable agenda anyway.
In an immediately seen sense, the US is not really committing a genocide. However, the corporations that control the US through lobbying and bribes and whatever else are literally destroying the planet past the point where humans can survive. So, while before we all burn your living conditions might be better, the country is working towards a far greater death count.
