Thinking about games such as the newly Pacific Drive.
I don’t have any specific recommendations but I’m from the Pacific Northwest and it’s really interesting to me to see a post like this. Are you from there too?
Nope not at all haha, from Scandinavia myself. Just very much love the whole Pacific Northwest vibes seen in series like Twin Peaks and such. Really want to make a trip over just to have seen it once.
There’s a ton of Scandinavian influence in western Washington state where I’m from. I think you’d feel pretty at home. 🙂

Days gone
I just finished Days Gone earlier this week, and that game was solid. I wish I played it sooner.
I slept on it for a real real long time, had it in my library for like a year before I got around to it. Ended up getting platinum on it my first playthrough I liked it so much.
I do like me some apocalypse. Thanks 😁
Great post, thank you! I was born in the PNW and I love those vibes.
The Long Dark
Ah yeah a classic! Played it a while back, should maybe replay it again :)
Get the dlc, it’s 100% worth it, even the stuff they added for non-dlc users is pretty awesome
Fallout Cascadia
Very cool!
Cool project! I’ll check it out when it release :P

Life is Strange (1 and True Colors are the best in the series IMO)
I just checked my library and actually seem to have grabbed these for a free a while back, so will be installing these the next few weeks :)
Thimbleweed Park seems to fit your criteria. One of the reviews even compares it to Twin Peaks. It’s a point and click murder mystery adventure game with where you have to switch between 5 characters.
It’s been years since I’ve played but I think the setting was in a fake Northwest Pacific town.
Fun fact, the names in the phone book and the titles/stories of the books in the library came from Kickstarter backers. Some of the books were pretty funny.
Infamous Second Son and the expansion pack take place in Seattle.
If you’re cool with lower poly graphics, ADACA was recently recommended to me. Haven’t tried it yet but looks to be set in Pacific Northwest.
Life is Strange comes to mind
Thanks for the suggestion, will check it out!
Much of The Last of Us 2 takes place in Seattle.
Oxenfree is an adventure game that takes place on an island off the coast of northern Oregon. Good little game that tells its story in about 5 hours.
Oregon trail 😂
Life is Strange for sure. 1, BtS and True Colours are all good
Ah nice suggestion! This looks good 👍
Pacific Drive.
Pacific Drive is EXCELLENT and the adaptive triggers and haptics on a Dualsense controller work on the PC version. They’re implemented INCREDIBLY, especially the brake pedal. It’s wild.
Edit: oh I see why you’re being downvoted—OP mentioned Pacific Drive in their post hahaha
Well god damn I just noticed. I better go back to bed!
Don’t worry, I appreciate it nonetheless :) It is a great game!
