You’d still be voting for the genocide of 99%. And voting for Hindenburg did not stop Hitler.
Of course, you do have the option of voting for someone other than the genocidal candidates, and organizing and taking direct action to put pressure on this genocidal imperialist state.
Would be more accurate to say capitalists I suppose, who inevitably give way to fascism.
The US is a bourgeois/capitalist dictatorship built on the genocide of millions of native Americans. I think most socialists would say it’s not quite a fascist regime just yet, but it has a history of supporting such regimes and is currently supporting a fascist colony committing a genocide in Palestine.
Fascists won the Cold War; it just wasn’t the nazis. This was unfortunately always an inevitable consequence of that.
Lmao 4 months in and this comment already didn’t age very well, with even outlets like NYT starting to report the truth about Ukraine’s offensives going terribly.
Also, I wouldn’t call thousands of people dying for meaningless western imperialism/NATO expansion “comedy gold”
Lemmy just doesn’t have a large enough userbase for those niche communities yet. Of course you’re still gonna need reddit if you need those specific communities lol
Ah yes a “complex” issue
Libs try not to both-sides a genocide challenge (impossible)
Yeah forcing people to never be confrontational isn’t exactly a recipe for healthy discussion.
Didn’t that instance pre-emptively defederate Hexbear and Lemmygrad for not being liberal hellholes? Lol
Battery life is still a massive pain on Linux unfortunately 😔
It’s a communist utopia
The Fediverse yes
Browsing through top posts, and damn this didn’t age very well lol
Fedora, Mint, or Debian would all be fantastic for that.
Welp, I just lost The Game
With alternate interfaces? Absolutely.
If not though… I mean I would live, but I’d really rather be able to at least use it occasionally — at least for educational purposes. There just aren’t any adequate alternatives.
