HR DGAF about you or me, they’re there for the company and will squash us like bugs if they think it’s good for their company.
Also, yeah, a lot of places have wildly incompetent HR staff on top of that.
I loved them but Nintendo’s overzealous attacks on hobbyists and indie devs has killed any enjoyment I had left. For a while there I thought they might’ve turned the page on that, but sadly I was mistaken.

Plus Steam Deck is infinitely better.

Anti-consumer shit like crazy pricing, doing everything they can to discourage repairs, going after third party parts/accessories/service, and how locked down their OSes are. Also, it’s ridiculous that they don’t have any sort of real enterprise management and IT has to rely on third party stuff (ironic given how Apple can be about third party stuff sometimes).
42·5 months agoWords have meaning and, sure, they can be abused and change meaning over time but let’s be real here: AI is a hype term with no basis on reality. We do not have AI, we aren’t even all that close. You can make all the ad hominem comments you want but at the end of the day, the terminology comes from ignorant figureheads hyping shit up for profit (at great environmental cost too, LLM aka “AI” takes up a lot of power while yielding questionable results).
Kinda sounds like you bought into the hype, friend.
They could and sometimes make a relatively small amount of money, but it’s more about trying to legally protect their trademarks/intellectual property as I understand it. These days I’d much rather support an indie dev over a shitty “AAA” company for sure, tired of them price gouging people for games that aren’t even that good.
