Like Freedom. I love my niece and nephew and enjoy spending time with them. But if I had to feed, clothe, clean up after, provide for, and entertain them 24 hours a day (not even considering when they were babies!)… I literally cannot imagine it.

That’s my point. It may be the medical definition, but colloquially, no one uses it like that.

I am not a medical professional and I obviously don’t know the dosage of people in this thread. But I’ll still say no one will overdose (as in harm themself or die) by accidentally taking 2x what their body is used to.

Yeah, I think this was just a hard sell, and it works. My friend and I were apartment shopping and had already checked out a few places. Then we arrived to look at another complex and after meeting with them, we said we’d let them know if we’d like to move forward. They were very friendly, but pushy, saying “no, you don’t have to do that”, “you’re moving in here!”, that kind of stuff. Being naive and lazy, we just said okay and took the path of least resistance. Oh well, gotta live somewhere!

• Things rich people buy are often about scarcity/vanity, not how good they are
• Diminishing returns for increasing quality
• You can overpay for anything and people/companies are ready to profit off that

I mean, it gives deference to rich people, but when it was legal to discriminate against POC, they had a massive disadvantage in pretty much every aspect of their lives. Not perfect, but much improved now…

Even ignoring the selfish elitist tone, this is like saying “things won’t be perfect, so why even try?” I hate defeatism, especially when it harms all of us.
