Not great! I guess I’d be forever bed-ridden with a giant surgical cut across my chest from armpit to armpit.
Socks, especially warm ones.
Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Office, Parks and Rec
I don’t have anything against them, I’m sure they’re all fine, I’ve just never had to interest in watching them.
I get Max for free with my phone, Hoopla free from the library, and my sister lets me use her Disney+ account. The only streaming service I pay for is PBS Passport.
I’m losing my balance just looking at this.
I’m not saying I WANT Dick Van Dyke to pass away, but the man did just turn 98.
I left the house, but only to drive over to my parents’ place for food and presents.
On my way over I saw a drugstore and a Burger King open, everything else looked pretty closed.
A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs - This is one of my favorite podcasts, but I’m going to warn you it’s not for everybody. The creator of this show, Andrew Hickey, is THOROUGH. A great example is the most reason episode about Hey Jude. Either you will love the concept of a 3.5-hour episode where 80% of the podcast is not about the song but rather the circumstances and lives of The Beatles, Yoko Ono, and the late 1960s music scene leading up to the creation of Hey Jude, or you will be furious that so much of the episode is about stuff that isn’t the song.
I thought Tinykin from last year was really good. A bit short, and certainly not the hardest game on earth, but still fun.
The girls yelling “LITTLE DUST BUNNIES GO AWAY RIGHT NOOOOW!” from the original Streamline dub of My Neighbor Totoro is forever etched in my brain, so it’s probably that.
I am now sitting on the laptop my company gave for work, most likely breaking it. Which is unfortunate, but I can probably just request another.
Getting a pet. I moved out of my parents’ place in 2009, but bringing home a cat a few months later felt like the first big adult decision I had made. I had pets before, but they were family pets so my siblings and parents all had a hand in taking care of them.
But the feeling of “this is a living thing and it’s relying on me to keep it alive” was an entirely different thing.
You know Entry of the Gladiators, but you might not think of gladiators when you hear the song.
Being nice to waitstaff/receptionists/cashiers/etc, even if there’s an issue.
You can be annoyed at the situation, sure. But being nice to the employee shows you know that 99% of the time the problem is not their fault and 100% of the time yelling won’t solve anything.

I gotta find the perfect song. What is the perfect song? I don’t know, but I gotta sit here and hit the skip button over and over until I find it.
Whether or not that song “Lil Boo Thang” is sampling “Best of My Love” by The Emotions.
It is, and I think my mom even realized she was in the wrong, but she kept playing dumb. Mostly because she knew how much it was driving my sister and I batty.
Thankfully it wasn’t really an argument, just a goofy conversation.

Andy, but they decided against it at the last minute. However, my dad’s brother and his pregnant wife really liked the name, and a few months later my cousin Andy was born.
