Poor Apple, people really should give them a break.
Poor Apple, people really should give them a break.
No, but even for those of us with some extra money… we’re not building a savings pile for a house or anything… we’re just spending the extra on doing things and buying stuff beyond our needs.
Hard to pay people ma much with 5 ticket sales per game.
There are plenty of problems with CPI, one of which is the very issue of “feelings”. Owners equivalent rent is absolutely irrelevant to actual rent costs. It’s just how much a homeowner says they would charge if they were to rent out their place. These are not the people renting out units…they’re just someone who happened to have enough money to buy a house. WTF do they know.
Opinion solicited and provided, and people are downvoting you. Dumb.
Personally, he started talking more and more shit about millennials and taking positions I didn’t agree with. And when I’m listening to debate that’s shit take vs shit take… well, I’m not… so I stopped watching
Had a friend turn down 4 internships when they got one at Tesla, and now, just as the summers coming up, they recinded a bunch of internship offers.
But they’re crazy, after all that’s gone down w Elon they just bought a Model 3
lol, like that will ever happen
I don’t understand how you don’t notice the difference between how chrome handles dragging tabs and how FF does. And all the people who upvoted you too.
We must have very different ways of using our computers. I’m regularly dragging a tab out to put it side by side with another window, and it seems like FF tabs are the only thing I drag around that don’t behave as expected. It’s glaringly obvious every time it happens, and it’s minuscule friction points like this that drive me nuts when I run into them repeatedly, day after day, for years.
Edit: the behaviour with FF is, you drag the tab out of the original FF window, release your mouse. A new window is created, then you can drag that window around place it as usual.
I looked into it further at one point, there’s some other change that needs to happen before that feature can me implemented. The issue was documented over a decade ago… but I’d have to learn a ton about how FF works to even start to understand how to make the changes needed.
I can say that for now, the logic is pretty basic, hide the tab, attach a little screenshot of the tab to the cursor, create a window with the content of that tab if the mouse is released outside of the browser window.
Maybe I’ll dig into the code again at some point
Is there an extension to drag out tabs seamlessly into another window like you can do with chromium.
How does types compare to latex?
I live in a mid rise apartment with big beautiful windows, and light mode is easier to read in a bright ass room. And I don’t need to deprive myself of sunlight be working in a pitch black basement office, I’m depressed enough as it is.
Just explaining my situation, in a mid-lit room I could go either way. Dark room -> dark mode
I believe the study used caffeine pills, so maybe there’s something special about coffee itself. Or, another possibility is that you feel like your symptoms are improved, but they aren’t actually. Or the study simply got it wrong for some reason.
Actually, just went back and reviewed the video talking about the study (https://youtu.be/-SLUyGlrfI0) and I misremembered. It shows some evidence that caffeine can help adults, though not children. And generally there isn’t enough research to say definitely that it does help adults.
Idk if it’s definitive, but research actually suggests that caffeine does not (generally) having mitigating effects on ADHD symptoms. (Edit: after reviewing my source, this was only true for children, not for adults. Adults did show some correlation between caffeine intake and reduced symptoms)
Additionally, people with adhd aren’t more likely to drink coffee either…. But interestingly, those with ADHD who do drink coffee are more likely to “misuse” it.
Not saying it doesn’t work for you, everyone is different, but it’s just not generally supported by the science.
And you’d have to go about encrypting your email
Tbf, it only makes good business sense to try and patent everything you can. Either to hold it as a unique selling point over competitors or to license to others.
I think the real problem here is the concepts of patents in general.
I use windows 11 and I don’t see what all the hate is for. Maybe it’s cuz I use Pro, and click a couple of buttons to hide the “news”… but it seems perfectly fine to me.
And I’m a power user, with Linux experience.
Not diagnosed till late 20s.
I’m “twice gifted”, so my intelligence can help me mask my ADHD in some ways. Looking back, all… ALL the signs were there, but no one was looking, or just didn’t understand. Lots of “you just need to apply yourself” kind of shit.
Anyway, check out Russell Barkley, if you’ve got a thing for educational videos, his are interesting enough, I feel, since he’s talking about me.
He made me feel a lot more confident that I have it, despite 3 different psychs already agreeing I do… and made me feel a lot more comfortable with who I am.
I just dislike that anyone feels the need to come to the defense of a trillion dollar company.
