Thankfully not too many, Often I’ll find some things are marked but not everything in smaller stores like some grocery, variety stores, second hand shops etc.
I do the same in stores. If there’s no prices listed I’ll just walk away. I absolutely hate surprises at the register.
Ya I’ve seen a bunch of this blatant bullshit spreading lately trying to re-frame the protests as being pro hamas when anyone with half a brain knows otherwise. Isreal’s pr team must be working overtime.
Your asshole is slamming shut like a screen door in a windstorm?
My kids are grown now so my comment probably isn’t all that relevant anymore, but I don’t think there should be a set age to give your kid a smart phone. Different kids mature and learn at different ages, even ones from the same household.
For my kids, I got them their first phones in their early teens but those phones were somewhat restricted so that we could still communicate easily but we knew they couldn’t get into too much trouble with them. As time progressed the restrictions slowly lifted as we knew we could trust them more to not get into trouble with them.
I’ve always believed it’s not a parents duty to protect their child from the world as much as it is to prepare them for it. Of course kids are going to make stupid decisions if you let them go too far (we all have) so I think it’s more about slowly easing them into things and helping them make the right decisions the best we can.
I use freetube as well, but I have a feeling that it’s just a matter of time before google brings the axe down on it too, especially if it increases in popularity.
I agree, I used to work for a company that made mobile homes in a an assembly line fashion. Two of us could cut and assemble all of the interior and exterior walls in under two days for an 80 foot home. It’s all the other stuff that took time and a lot more people to piece together.
I for one am quite comfortable not giving them any more of my money either.
We don’t need enemies when we have ourselves to do the same thing.
Giggity. I still have one in my junk drawer, although I tossed the mouse it belonged to years ago.
Have you tried compressed air? It may not do anything if it’s stuck in there but may be worth a shot.
My superpower has got to be pushing things off and screwing myself over in the process, despite knowing better.
Yesterday for example. My house has an issue every winter with a certain section of water pipe in the basement freezing when it gets cold. I knew saturday night it was going down to -30c (-22f) with a -41 windchill overnight but I still neglected to toss a space heater down in that spot to keep it warm overnight.
Lo and behold first thing in the morning I wake up to no running water. So I had find where my propane torch was, just to spend half an hour running around with it to thaw the lines out before I could even make coffee or properly flush the toilet.
At least now I have a space heater running down there to keep it warm again, like I did last winter, and the winter before that.
I used to love acid when I was younger. I bought 30 hits of blotter just for my 18th birthday for me and my friends. Never hallucinated like some people claim but had tons of energy and it made everything feel so… real? and vibrant. Shrooms were cool but just not nearly on the same level.
You definitely want to plan ahead and make sure you’re surrounded by good company and plenty to do beforehand though.
From your example, what I’m saying is nobody should be cleaning a sewer for minimum wage. If you need your sewer fixed you can either do it yourself or pay someone enough that they’d be willing to do it.
If you can’t pay someone enough, obviously fixing that sewer wasn’t important enough to you.
I’m not saying everyone should get the same wage. There’s a huge difference between flipping burgers and working in a mine, and the pay should reflect that.
I think what they’re trying to say is nobody will want to work shit jobs for next to no pay.
I don’t see how that’s a bad thing except for employers. If the job is worth doing, the money should be worth it too. People shouldn’t be forced to do shitty/dangerous jobs just to survive.
As a straight guy I see this as pretty good news. It means more people are comfortable being themselves rather than what some church tells them they have to be. I’m sure in reality those numbers are even higher, but there’s still a lot of people who can’t/won’t admit it because of religious dogma.
Stayed home most of the day except to go to my daughter’s house for supper, about a 1/4 mile away.
The closest business that would have been open today out here would have been the gas station about 16 miles (25km) away.
I’m going to cry when mine finally dies. I bought it second hand in 1991/92 and have only ever replaced the light bulb in it once around 98. That microwave has survived both my daughters growing up and a lot of moves over the years.
Although at this rate I might crap out before it does lol.
“World’s Best Dad” mug with the word “Best” crossed out?
