Better Call Saul. I find it so amazing how they were able to take an existing (brilliant in its own right) story, and extend it in both past and the future. It fits in so nicely. There are very few (if any) plot holes, and the story is enjoyable in its own right. Add to that the superb acting of almost everyone, and the elite cinematography. I don’t think there’s a single aspect of this show that I don’t like.

I only use my own installer scripts with LURE, so I’m not sure about the safety of the publicly available repos. But the project itself seems to be pretty solid and reliable.

I’ve been very happy with Navidrome. I have it accessible on a subdomain, so I can just use it from wherever I want. Feishin is a great frontend for Linux desktop, and Tempo is a great frontend for Android.

My friend uses Jellyfin instead of Navidrome, and he’s also happy with it. Both the frontends that I mentioned work with Jellyfin as well.

I prefer Office 365 online.

When you buy a research paper, the author doesn’t get any cut from it. The journals are scams, and should be destroyed. Until that happens, try searching on arxiv.org first, usually there are preprints available there. If not, contact the authors. Most of us are happy to share our results. Your local library can also help you get access to those.

These are the more legitimate ways, and then there’s sci-hub. I’ve actually seen internationally renowned researchers open a paper using sci-hub on their laptop lol.

Idk, installing Linux was pretty easy 10 years ago too. Can’t comment about anything earlier than that though.

I can attest to that. I was born and brought up in India, and right now in the US for education. It’s kind of the same here as well, just expressed differently due to cultural differences. The fact that the US is actually the world leader at this time makes these people much more dangerous imo.

In any case, I’m more hopeful about my country after the last election. They seem to be rejecting religious fundamentalism to some degree. It’ll take time, but I think we’re finally starting to see through BJP’s lies. I hope I can go back to India soon enough. (It’s hard to get good jobs in my field there at the moment. Counting on it changing at some point.)

Don’t you think that it may be because Firefox is pretty much the only browser using a different engine that Chromium? There are literally two major browser engines, and you’re developing for one them. Ofc everything else will act like Chromium, because they are Chromium for the most part.

Something like this happened on my sister’s laptop. She got a new laptop with Windows 11. She followed some website to set up Syncthing, but it wasn’t syncing. Turns out, there’s some kind of “trusted network” deal that needs to be figured out. (Don’t remember the exact term anymore.) Anyway, helped her fix it, and installed Debian Stable on it the next time I was visiting.

Honestly, I’d be fine and understand that he cannot but be complicit in this due to powers beyond his reach. I’d eat my words if he says that he doesn’t like it, but has to comply. But he seems like he’s pretty happy with it. (Again, from that one comment.) I will blame the sandwich artist if he defends shitty sandwiches. Because one has to be responsible for their own work. They’re free to not give a fuck about what anyone thinks. But they are complicit.

I never said he alone did it. I’m sure he’ll be happy to share credit for any great product his company makes. Why not take some of the blame too? (I’m not sure if he does think that way though. He hasn’t replied since. I’m just replying to other people.)

Interesting. I currently use it on a Samsung Galaxy S22 and a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. In the past, I’ve used OnePlus, Redmi, and Realme devices. Always worked.

Maybe post it in their forum? They’re usually very helpful.

What phone are you using? I’ve used it my many Android devices from different manufacturers. Always worked flawlessly.
