If there’s a pay wall and you don’t use something like 12ft.io or archive.ph to get around it, just don’t comment. There’s no requirement to comment and those that do so without knowing what the article is actually about are providing commentary on their imaginations.
The biggest failure here is the number of people who obviously didn’t read the article. Why comment if you don’t know what you’re actually commenting about? Is this the writing equivalent to loving the sound of your own voice?
It would be better if they never loosed their train of thought on you in the first place.

You and I agree on this topic, I was just curious if the other commenter had anything intelligent to add or if they just instantly resort to insults because they can’t intelligently articulate their viewpoint.
From you I didn’t see an implication of initiating violence so much as protecting against those whose political beliefs support violence against their out groups. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Or even a more substantial burger. I just learned that the standard McDonald’s burger patty is 45 grams (that’s 1.6 oz or approximately 1 medium celery stalk in freedom units). 45 grams! Only the quarter pounder has the 4 oz (113g for the rest of us or the weight of two large eggs for the Americans) patty.
This is all the pre-cooked weight. If your average patty loses 25% of its weight during cooking, that 45g patty becomes about 34g. WTF.

Just FYI, this person is likely suffering from schizophrenia. Not just because of this comment, but dozens of comments about the many, many people that have tried to kill them in a variety of ways, some nonsensical, since their childhood, not to mention their “law enforcement ex boyfriend that causes planes to fly low over their home”.
My wife and I have discussed a few. For her, anything that’s terminal or results in such a significant decrease in quality of life that continued living is some degree of torture more than 50% of the time.
My criteria are mostly the same, with added conditions for dementia, which seems to run in the family.
That’s fine but, if you don’t read the article, don’t comment on it like you did. I’m not suggesting that’s what you did, but that’s clearly what many people here did.
