I agree. Though have a random small chance of the gun disappearing when you go to use it, with dialogue.

On one hand I reaally want Bernie to call on the old 2016 grassroots crowd. On the other hand I expect that would backfire.
If it didn’t though, the potential wave of support would be tremendous. It’s then reassuring that Harris is showing initiative within the party, something we’ve missed for many years.
The issue here isn’t that the Democratic Party isn’t playing hardball. The issue is that while the Dems are playing Baseball, the Republicans are playing Blernsball, and the blue continues to lose points and players due to following the old ruleset. The worst thing though is Team Blue has the better players. We have the home run strikers. We have down-the-line pitchers. Left, center, AND right field golden gloves. Our team are winners by any measure of the old system.
We’re just playing a wholly different type of game now.
tldr: Stop being blind in your tolerance. Start calling everything you see that is unjust and malicious out. Your freedom probably depends on it
So take what energy you do have and with the rest of us take these next four years and work to fix it. There is a chance if we do it together.
Okay.
In your opinion: Who would be a good candidate?
When an individual does that, they are doing so with a clear choice that they made. In a war, men die and leave families behind, and because they chose to defend their country, they are used to defend the interests of those with long swords and heavy sticks. They die without a choice far too often because they were tricked into believing they defend their homes.
All too often they’re forced into conflict that has very little to do with that choice. If our military didn’t try so hard to coerce and trick younger people into joining and thus being forced into conflict, I would be a bit less resentful and hateful towards the practice. That, however, is not the case.
War is death. There is no glory. There is no pride. None of them are heroes by choice, and many never feel like heroes after their friends die by their side.
War is violence. A desire of man to take with force the independence of a people and exchange that for subservience under the guise of land, resources, need.
Young people are tricked to serve. Recruited to become servants, coerced through deceit to don colors and weapons. Made to repeat mistakes because smaller men want and are not freely given. To solely defend and defy the overreaching end of a tyrant’s sword is to fight for reason earned from treachery and desire.
Humanity is not defined by grief. We are defined by the selfless acts of love and kindness in the darkest hours. Make no mistake; monsters do exist, and the worst are never the ones in harm’s way.
About 30 seconds ago I felt a little smarter not knowing you exist, yet in so few words you’ve made yourself pretty thoroughly known.
Four months is plenty of time. Biden will be backing her. The DNC has voting wolves ready to kick their asses. Bernie and AOC both supported Biden and are wise enough to support Harris, and others will follow their example. Back to point #2, and to reaaaally highlight something obscenely important:
They listened.
Take that in for a meager second. Now ask yourself if we could get those prideful fucks to back down, and also get an old lifetime politician to step aside in a historical move, do you understand what we could potentially do if we complained half as hard as you do when so much shit isn’t on the line?
Oh, and give us an alternative that matches three things:
I think you’ll find 3 to be rather important for a LOT of people right now.
I’ll say just one thing:
Every single one of you assholes who wouldn’t shut up about him stepping down since the dude missed the toilet bowl fifty years ago after a particularly wild night out better sure as fuck step up now that Old Joe has stepped down.
A sitting god damned President of the United States has stepped aside less than half a year before reelection. Make no mistake: The man swallowed his pride and ego HARD to make this decision. Let’s honor that by creating a wall of votes so god. damned. thick. Riley Reid would gasp.
I feel combining this with @PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca likely creates a fairly accurate sense for the place.
India is, well…despite their historical advances in medicine and continued strong cultural fascination with academia, at some point they became nothing but call centers, distribution points, and scam centers. There is certainly more to India, though when I think of hacking, I think of China and Russia. When I think of scams, unfortunately India is top of the list.
I’ve dealt with my share of PC issues and apart from digging in and writing scripts, I’m an advanced end user. One time le tired IT guy needed to remote in for some issue I didn’t have appropriate access to deal with. He seemed rather startled when I opened notepad and said “Hi!”
I also swear I began to get more difficult to recognize fake phishing attempts shortly after.
Dave, if you’re reading this you never caught me with one! Gotta try harder!
Just saying, it may be wise to engage in acts of patience given the risk of the current climate. Hold him accountable after we get over the current hurdle. Like, keep it in your back pocket. We should hold advantages where we can and come together. That’s all. A sorta strategic focus to eliminate issues one at a time without dividing energy or people. Because I think the larger opinion is the same, we just differ on what to focus on first.
If you want Joe to win, I’d probably stop using that label for awhile. Make it easier to, y’know, do that thing.
I loved it when my local giant ISP kept pushing broadband connections, saying they couldn’t possibly deal with costs associated with Fiber. Then they begged money from the Government to install infrastructure. Queue absolutely no work in my area. Fast forward a few years, a new ISP rolls in with Fiber and like magic my ISP was suddenly able to provide similar services.
Doesn’t mean they’re not dangerous. Especially since they know most of us typically turn our heads to avoid confrontation. While there are reasons, some of them good, I have no doubt that group has felt emboldened by the lack of stalwart opposition these past few years.
The irony.
The Republican crowd has done more in recent memory to mobilize than anyone leaning center-left has. We’re the ones that talk a lot and do little. The Right is dangerous, stop giving them a pass by presuming they won’t do anything.
Yeah, coffee specifically does shit for me. Literally. Pretty sure I’d lose weight at a rapid pace if I kept drinking it. Energy drinks on the other hand are…okay? More mood stabilization than energy improvements.
Unless you count sometimes getting more anxious as energy, in which case some days I may actually be able to vibrate through walls.
Course I don’t have just adhd. I also deal with separate depression and anxiety with adhd as a sort of foundation, while also not being the primary reason for either. So fuck if I know.
Give it a minute: Tech Jesus and his Nexus friends are having a great time with ASUS recently. I’m sincerely looking forward to how far they take things.
I know this is satire, though it was my understanding that tourists were protected. Like, don’t walk down any dark alleys and listen when someone strongly tells you to go somewhere else, otherwise you’re reasonably safe. This was a couple years ago though, and I may be remembering things wholly wrong.
I question those years, man.
