Nope, it’s all done on device with local machine learning models.
I just bought a drive from them last month (from Canada) and just received a $60 duty bill. The time before that I got nothing. YMMV
Ignoring the obvious, I was not expecting that kind of money being dropped on the interior based on the photos of the exterior.
I think that’s my main complaint with the game. Once you find a way to beat the boss, you just go for that build every time. It’s so punishing and the path to get there is so long, that it’s a massive disincentive to try new things.
Not to blow the joke, but I recently learned Orcas are in the dolphin family. I always thought they were porpoises myself
This is the best take I’ve seen on the whole kerfuffle so far.
We as a species love to judge people based on their age. And it goes both ways. Us millenials will be as reviled as boomers are by the younger folks soon. And I’m sure more and more millenials like OP will make dumbass comments about those same young folks in return. It’s the circle of life.
I too wish we could all judge people based on their actions rather than their age. But it’ll never happen

I don’t hate Apple in terms of privacy. I hate Apple for a myriad of other reasons. Mostly related to locked down ecosystems.
I dunno, I suspect most human alt texts to be vague and non descriptive. I’m sure a human trying their hardest could out write an AI alt text… But I’d be pretty shocked if AI’s weren’t already better than the average alt text.
Same reason most non technical people using Linux today do so on the Steam Deck. If you want to spread Linux, trying to convince individuals is going about it all wrong.
You need to convince Canonical or Red Hat to spend more on partnerships with manufacturers. I’m not sure if anyone else has deep enough pockets.
Oh man, I love adaptive cruise control. I also don’t agree that using it in the left lane is bad. If there’s a line of cars going too slowly, the person in front is the asshole, not the three using ACC behind them. You really shouldn’t pass on the right anyway, would definitely not call doing that driving safer.
Google’s too smart for that. They know there’s a big backlash against AI in the tech savvy crowd and that it’s bleeding users to competitors. So they offer this escape valve that they know the techies will easily find and use, but which 99% of the population will never even look for. This way they can still push AI on almost everyone while at the same time retain as many disgruntled techies as they can.
The problem is this relies on the people who make stuff making a huge sacrifice on behalf of everyone else. This won’t change until everyone else is willing to at least match what rich people can offer to people who make stuff. Unfortunately everyone else are not willing to match this unless people who make stuff can offer a product of equivalent value. Making a product of equivalent value takes time, which gives rich people ample opportunity to offer more than everyone else is willing to.
Microsoft argues that its AI automation will remove the boring bits of jobs instead of replacing jobs entirely.
This argument is such bullshit. As if Microsoft doesn’t know there exist jobs that are entirely “the boring bits”.
I’m experienced enough to know that out of my mobile carrier and ISP, I am the least trustworthy operator.
One of us! One of us!
Shh, don’t brag about it
