I think they said that because OP wrote “not once have I had a problem or anything break. What am I doing wrong?” making it sound like the problem is that they haven’t experienced anything break yet.
Vim is pretty easy for me because I’m used to it. Nano is very difficult to use for me because I’ve rarely used it.
I use Thunderbird and I don’t think it looks old, specially after recent updates. You can also change the colors which is pretty cool.

It depends on what kind of game you like. Here are 2 video games I play on Linux:
Minecraft is a sandbox game with a survival aspect, where you can be as creative as you want while still having fun challenges. There are many different playing styles. It costs about $30 and requires a Microsoft account to play legally. Minecraft: Java Edition officially runs on Linux. Minecraft: Bedrock Edition (the one with console cross-play) does not run on Linux by any official methods.
Mindustry is a techy/industrial game, I’ve heard some say it’s like if Factorio was a tower defense. It is free and open-source (under GPLv3), requires no account.
For purchasing or acquiring games, I’d recommend Steam. It has lots of games and many of them work on Linux. There’s also Heroic Games Launcher for Epic and GOG games.
Linux Mint in late 2021. Now, in 2024, I am on NixOS.
i prefer to call them themes, it’s more descriptive. i usually call them rices ironically. i guess use whichever term you prefer idk
They’re all based on UNIX.
technically not, rather, they’re unix-like since unix was a proprietary system
i thought this was about game development for a second and was confused as to why you wouldn’t be able to do that on linux
my keyboard uses a PS/2 port
it’s really old but it’s pretty good
what? what does that have to do with a battery??

Do you not know what a tar.gz is? it’s like a zip file. how are you supposed to install it automatically? the structure inside is unknown.
also, it’s commonly used for things like backups.

what did you have trouble with?
I’m not on KDE Plasma, but icon packs work regardless of desktop. I use Papirus with the Catppuccin folder icons patch.
if you want a shell that needs less configuration and has more features, i recommend fish shell.
for bash, you could search for someone else’s bashrc, copy that, and modify until it works how you want it to.
what about void linux
