Does the JVM count?
Does the JVM count?
I was trying to mention things that weren’t just web browsers. Since it seemed the comment was about programs that use more ram than they seemingly need to.
Edit: There’s like photogrammetry and stuff that happens on phones now!
Is this bait? Because like, you could be rendering, simulating, running virtual machines. Lots of stuff that aren’t web browsers also eat ram
Why not synthetics? Sure they smell worse than wool, but a synthetic fleece is very warm and will stay warm even when wet, and will dry faster than cotton.
Is this compatibilism?
I’ve been called an idiot here a couple of times, but I think I’m drawn to the irrationally angry people
I think piracy is copyright infringement. But like who cares if some big corpos get infringed upon by some dudes.
Woah, first time I’ve heard of blendOS, looks super cool!
Don’t worry, Linux is still the best. But you have to get people thinking about how they use their operating system before you can get them to see the light.
I’m just playing the long game… I hope.
They all suck in their own unique way! For me I can tolerate the way Linux sucks, and for others it’s something else. But I think we can all agree that bitching about operating systems is great catharsis.
I’ve been sucked into a depression fueled reading hole where I just read and lay in bed for several days. What’s weird though is after a couple of days I start to narrate my dreams and if long enough it begins to make its way into my waking life?
Ever experienced anything like this?
Finding stuff for roofing in the winter sucks. My boss swears by blacklader pants, they even have kneepad inserts. Wear layers under your pants. Long John’s and or fleece pants will keep you warm. Gloves are also super hard to find, or hard to find ones cheap (and warm) enough you don’t mind destroying.
I follow all of your rules, but let cotton be my top layer sometimes, as it is fairly cut resistant (we do standing seam). As for boots, muck boots seem to be warm enough and give you good traction on a panel/ underlayment.
I also bring hand warmers in case my hands start to get too cold. Also some people use the Milwaukee sweatshirt that is heated/battery powered as a mid layer. It may reduce too many bulky layers.
I don’t think they have much effect on the flora of an area, but humans are not the only fauna that are harmed by ticks.
Also they get in my dreams and I usually have at least one tick related nightmare a year, so please do understand I speak with some hyperbole.
Ticks.
They seem to just make everything worse, and I don’t think anything only eats ticks. Not to mention the diseases they carry.
I teach snowboarding in the winter! You get a free pass, get to meet lots of people, and the more time you spend thinking about snowboarding the better you get at it. Also great for fitness. It can get pretty exhausting though.
Yeah if it lasts more than a couple minutes I just walk away, my presence is not wanted in that conversation anyway.
Haha, my browser is called curl
What browser signifies an excellent source of information? Ice weasel? w3m?
“Yep, you’ll have that on them big jobs.”
There is the old saying that “People don’t quit jobs, they quit bosses.” My advice is to go to therapy first, I think the question will sort itself out after that.
