Gotta say that the very NON-tech savvy people I know had one of these reactions to the change:
- they didn’t even notice;
- they like it better now;
- they don’t care at all as they never open it.

That’s almost impossible.
They’re not gonna have a Windows situation with 2 settings apps, and they have no good reason to revert their changes, since it would be against the unification of the interface across iOS and macOS they’ve been pushing hard for years.
What do you mean by ‘fix’?
I haven’t noticed any noteworthy differences, by the way.
Was this accidentally posted on Lemmy from Mastodon because the community was tagged?
Deleting your account wouldn’t really change anything. There’s no reason to unless you have some very strong moral problem with being associated with them in any way.
By the way, you can definitely have a Lemmy account on a different instance, no need for kbin (unless you like it there, then that’s great). Their views shouldn’t have any effect on the other Lemmy instances.
I have no idea, but I’ve seen many people incredibly pro-China who are not Chinese or have any association with China. It’s baffling but it is a thing!
I really like the concept but I never managed to convince anyone in real life to use it with me. lmao
Edit: I’ve just realized this post is from 7 months ago; why did someone bump this now?
I think the problem lies in the (relative) lack of content, rather than the ranking itself. I don’t know if it’s worth it to tweak it.
Not a native speaker and kind of OT, but isn’t it supposed to be “overview” rather than “oversight” in this case? Maybe not necessarily “overview”, but I think “oversight” would only mean mistake or supervision. I was just wondering.
What did they compare Reddit to? Digg?
And you can also have bisexual flowers.😎
Most plants are hermaphrodites actually.

I think it definitely depends on your relationship with the recipient. While I do think most of those are better options, I wouldn’t say they’re necessarily what you should write.
Also speaking of the keyboard, I had a more annoying bug a couple of time. Basically, my lockscreen has an alphanumeric password and in a couple of occasions the keyboard would never pop up, so I had to reboot my phone :/
But it’s overall pretty stable for a beta.
I love how your brain works.
I do trust the devices on my network but I guess I’ll probably look into how to setup HTTPS.
Two things are at play here:
Out of all the recommendations and ads, you only notice those who are actually relevant, so you’re biased.
One would be surprised by how easy it is to predict interests and patterns based on very little information; there’s no need to spy all private conversations for that.
