Everytime I see these dumb wojacks I definitely think the meme creator is 12 and have to back away from completely pre judging the whole meme. Thank you for this.

He was openly spreading propaganda against the lawful government too!
Theres a lawsuit working it way through that might threaten to affect WIs reps after they purged on the order of 10% of their voters.
While I largely agree with you, I’m not sure a civil war for a 20,000 state level prisoners makes immediate sense
You see, this is kind of the reverse. The federal govt could blackmail states into legalization but it’s going to be hard to make states adjust their own prior convictions. Apples and oranges.
Yes, but I think my general sentiment stands. Sentencing an 18 year old to life? Sentencing a 17 year old as an adult? Both are crazy
It’s common, unfortunately. No one will ever admit liability unless a court makes them. So in negotiations, no one really wants to take it to court so the people usually don’t have the leverage to make them pay big and admit fault. So the company pays a modest amount and then quietly fixes stuff just enough to try and avoid the next lawsuit.
Less crowded prisons? Sounds good. Combating the whole “tried as an adult” which was always kind of bullshit? Sounds good.
I’m going to wager the federal government couldn’t do anything for state charges
What’s different is the feedback loop and the globalization. Yes, it’s just capitalism, ie giving the people what they “want”, but it’s really not just the same as someone suggesting that customers like clean lines and plants.
How bleak. A couple proprietary algorithms driving millions of business decisions across the globe, everyday.
You can’t try a husband and a wife for the came crime!
Not really to answer your questions. But a book came out a year ago and it covers the philosophy of simulation theory.
That is it explains the theory that our reality may be a simulation inside of a computer, and then re-establishes all major philosophical ideas from this premise. Ironically enough, a lot of philosophical ideas it arrives at are very similar to those proposed by religious philosophers.
The book is called Reality +. Good read if you like philosophy and think simulation theory is interesting.
I’ll second the idea that more than a few minutes of tiktok, YouTube shorts or Instagram reels is debilitating.
I think boomers that have high paying and powerful jobs are working longer than ever because they want to. The other side of the boomer wealth inequality, yes, those ones have to.
This is the worst anecdote I have heard in a while. If corporate invested in people and infrastructure, it would be different. You don’t blame people when the company has shit outcome. You blame management and culture.
Probably the parties and their donors would scramble to replace them.
Harris has a leg up as she would be promoted to President and would be the incumbent. But she might not be prepared for a primary. Probably Gavin Newsom, her and a couple people would fight over some key endorsements and donors.
Well Chris Christie and Mike Pence would probably kick themselves as they just dropped out of the race. In a lot of ways, the republican race wouldn’t change much. At least Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis would still be fighting over the voters not waiting for Trump to resurrect three days later.
The really dicy shit happens if the winning candidate dies before inauguration.
I’m curious if they look alike
