This is the second article calling it a crackdown. What’s that all about? I was the subject of a crackdown when I was a naughty kid at school.
It was a massacre.

They seem to have things backwards.
You don’t set expected sales based on the cost of development. You set the cost of development based on the expected sales.
If you want to fork the repo then you make a commit to the original repo giving yourself rights then you make the fork and you’re golden.
I think that was their point. 8 rockets has zero chance of aiding Hamas’s war effort so launching them only helps Netanyahu’s argument that they need to continue their war effort. Sending the rockets from Rafah makes it even worse when the world is saying that Israel should stop attacking Rafah.
The huge difference is who holds the patent.
I don’t think that is important really. The big problem is that patents can be sold so the good guy(s) with the patent could turn out to be not as good as we hoped when someone offers them a bucket load of money.
They say in almost every story on the BBC News TV channel that talks about Hamas that they are designated a terrorist organisation by the UK government.
I don’t understand why people think that it’s acceptable.
As developers, we’ve had it drummed into us from day one that variable names are important and shouldn’t be one or two letters.
Yet developers deliberately alias an easy to read table name such as “customer” into “c” because that’s the first letter of the table. I’m sure that it’s more work to do that with auto completion meaning that you don’t even need to type out “customer”.
The Conservatives are working to “fix” the NHS so that it goes in the other column.
I’d say that we’re frequently doing something right. Unfortunately, we’re also frequently doing other things wrong.
Yes, that’s how it works. It’s like how sometimes during road construction, the construction crew might route you into a different traffic lane. Doesn’t mean that lane will remain safe to drive on forever.
That’s a bad analogy. The construction crew direct you to a safe place while they repair the rest of the road. There’s nothing being repaired in Gaza. It’s just being systematically destroyed.
Point 1 l: that is just semantics so not really relevant. Hamas could have easily said that they arrested the Israeli hostages for a crime and it wouldn’t have changed anything.
Point 2: I’m not sure that the Palestinians held without charge have any functional rights.
Point 3: That’s just an assumption on both sides of this conflict. Hamas do have access to medical professionals and it is in their best interest to keep the hostages alive. Obviously, Israel does also have access to medical professionals but I’m not sure that the Palestinians have free access to them either. I’d hope that Israel would give medical attention when it’s needed but I don’t know.
Point 4: That’s just rubbish as a general definition of prisoner around the world and the Palestinian prisoners are definitely being used in the negotiations.
I like the scope creep there:
They should sell it for biomass fuel. :)
But they’ve urged Israel to act within international law so it’s ok.
Title case sucks. I don’t know why we use it.
When names are not familiar to you it takes a few goes to realise that her name is Ju Ae, not Ju Ae May or Ju Ae May Be.
It does one level of nesting with tab groups. Just drag one tab onto another to start.
I can’t believe that they formed the EU with specific criteria that you had to meet to join but didn’t put something in to make sure that each member continues to meet the same criteria.
It bugs me when they say that they are doing this and that “for the will of the people” when the majority of the people didn’t vote for them. And even if they did, it might have been for a different reason than the thing that they are talking about at the time.
Everything that we do has an impact on the environment. We need to choose the options that have the least impact which is not oil.
It means as much as it does for Isreal who also doesn’t participate in the ICC.
Technically, any American who is convicted (I’d imagine it could be President Biden and Anthony Blinken who they would try to prosecute) cannot travel to ICC countries otherwise they’d be arrested.
Even if they were tried and convicted nobody would do anything about it.
Can you imagine the shit show that would ensue if someone tried to arrest the US President as he visits their country.
