I’ve always been curious how electric planes will address MLW as they scale up. Even if you get similar energy densities and can cover MTOW, you generally count on reducing weight as you use up fuel and are lighter when you land. But with a battery your weight is going to be roughly the same. Will that mean you have to take into account the increased weight and will have less room for cargo/passengers?
I’m glad I am on their older version. Their recent update was a shit show. They removed: sleep timer, queue management, access to music on a NAS… you know, all things I bought the product for. And then they’re announcing adding them back like it’s a good thing they’re doing. “We listened…!”
VMware went with Purple for their hypervisors so you get a PSOD instead. Always was fun when you’d hit the console for a server and get greeted by that instead of the yellow and black split screen.

That’s why I liked Deep Impact. It went must more (potentially) realistic than Armageddon. But the latter wanted its “common man, that people can relate to, saves the day” trope.
And why leave them nameless? Name and shame. You can get multiple people asking at that point and apply more pressure.
I loved that city when I was there in the 00s, to the point of even wanting to live there. But to me, as a foreigner, it is dead because there’s unfortunately not much I can do. My heart goes out to all of those living there, but sadly I have to look at it as no more than another Chinese city with all of the associated baggage and risks. I know others will expand on this, but in the past there were two main “bases”: Debian and Enterprise Linux (EL). The main differences were their package managers and how the handled things in init.d and configuration like networking. This was due to how they made their modules iirc.
So a lot of distros forked off of these two bases rather than reinvent the wheel. Ubuntu is based off of Debian and CentOS based off of RHEL.
There’s probably more nuances but that should give you an idea.
We tried that. It didn’t work. They just said “fuck your feelings”, they said “cry your liberal tears”. Everyone most people tried to take the high road, show that “we’re better than that”. But it didn’t do a lick of good. So I’m gonna enjoy this win and gloat about it.

What? No. This is complete hyperbole and speculation, and off at that too. Their Authenticator is used for personal accounts as well as managing 3rd party TOTP tokens. It’s no different than Google Authenticator, DUO Authenticator or Okta Authenticator. I could see that on a far end if they come out with a business only version, but given that everything is backed on their same platform it doesn’t behoove them to do that.
You’re thinking of Intune and the Company Portal app. That’s where the device enforcement comes into play. Authenticator can be installed on any system regardless of its state and their enforcement policies.
I hate the gravitas this article is placing on his role! They are deciding, if a person, is guilty of a crime. It doesn’t matter who they were or what they might be. The preferential treamtment needs to stop.

So really they’re doing it to themselves here. Their comment about “we’re modernizing the game to bring it to more people” just rings of BS, especially with their sales recently, and if they really cared about that they’d be fast tracking and announcing a date for XVI on the PC.
I hope you’re Japanese or can pass for it. As beautiful as the country is (I loved it there) they are highly xenophobic and racist. There are literally restaurants where foreigners aren’t allowed in (even if you’ve lived there decades), getting housing in most places requires you to be “sponsored” by someone with a very high upfront fee, etc.
There’s a registry key (sorry I’m on mobile right now) that you can actually add during a clean setup of current non-LTSC versions that remove the requirement for vTPM and SecureBoot. That install should easily be able to be live migrated. We were doing that when first playing with Windows 11
I’m torn on this. I’m “white”-ish enough, no kids, can’t get pregnant (or anyone pregnant) and I’m in the top 10%… so would anything for me fundamentally change? No…. I could stick my head in the sand and ignore it, but that’s really not me and it freaking breaks my heart to see all the people it impacts.

Maximum Landing Weight and Maximum Takeoff Weight. Because of the stress put on the airframe when landing you don’t want a heavy plane. It’s easier to control when taking off because it’s smoother. So having the same weight on landing means the airframe will need to be beefed up, or you fly with less overall since more goes to the plane.
