The goal of the protests for Palestine is to overcome imperialism and colonialism as a whole. The movement won’t stop when Palestine is free but only when everyone is free.
That we don’t see the same reaction for the people of Sudan is part of the problem, not a reason to delegitimize the pro-Palestine movement.
Even when you’re not a Muslim you can easily acknowledge that genocide against Muslims is as bad as against anyone else. And if you ask Muslims on the question of genocide against anyone I’m sure the answer wouldn’t differ to genocide against Muslims, because it’s such a natural thing to oppose genocide.
Tbh we have a large Muslim population in Germany but we don’t miss out on any opportunity to shit on them in any European country with large Muslim migrant population. We don’t really treat them as equals in a sense that their voices are usually ignored and they are being patronized as you could see with issues like female athletes from France not being allowed to use their right of religious freedom (hijab ban).

The protests are not against the war though. They are against the government not bringing back the hostages and against the inconveniences of not being able to return to home. If the government can manage to commit genocide on Palestinians without any inconveniences to the Jewish Israeli citizens then most of them would be fine with that.
As I said he is Palestinian and Palestinians except for a few groups don’t have to serve in the army and most of them do not consider themselves Israeli and have no interest in serving the interests of their colonizer.
I mean Germany also never really overcame Nazism. We just purged the highest Nazi leadership and some scapegoats and everyone else got off the hook and pretended like they were the victims. Military, police, secret services, government staff, courts were then filled with the same people who were doing that same thing for the Nazis. AFD leadership includes descendants of Nazis and even a Nazi minister. The whole country is and has always been blind on the right eye.
Yeah I think this is very troubling and counterproductive. The article says the guy was recently discharged from the IDF. Which for a Palestinian is weird because they don’t have to join the army, so I’m assuming he’s a Zionist. That being said, a Jew would get killed for being Jewish by these people and an Arab could apparently get away with being a Zionist. So this whole thing is just pointless violence/antisemitism.

I agree with you on the second part it’s just that their claim is based on a settler colonial ideology that can’t function without dehumanizing the colonized people and challenging their right to exist and they challenge that globally because every Palestinian existing anywhere on this planet potentially blocks them from achieving their sick goals
