Yup! I grill corn when it’s in season, mushrooms, and make foil packets with potatoes, peppers, onions, and garlic and grill those as well. Also works great for making baked potatoes.

I always hated un-popped kernels and just the other pieces that always get stuck in my teeth and throat (I assume pieces of the outside of the kernels) and just quit getting popcorn as a result.

One was a military base and entering one part of a big open yard would open several doors with zombies aggro’d to the player. Another was the tier 5 prison that had several spawn triggers. However, before the trigger, no zombies were spawned in so they couldn’t just be picked off. I never saw a visible trigger anywhere in my playthroughs.

My fault. I moved from Tokyo to the countryside and there’s no food delivery so I went from at least once a week down to once a month or less. I’ll try harder to think of the profits next time.

I had tons of hours in it. In either a19 or a20, they added these dumb triggers that just spawn an entire world of zombies or open a set of doors with the zombies aggro’d to the player already effectively killing stealth. Worse, there’s no way to know about any of this until you’re in the POI and getting obliterated. I haven’t touched the game since them and was quite angry.

I played D&D since the end of the 1st ed. days and I think of them as kinda dog-like heads that were also scaly. I have a 2nd ed. Monstrous Manual, but it’s on the other side of the world at the moment so I can’t check.

Yeah, I’m generally overseas and many things need a US number for 2fa. It’s the only thing that I still need it for. Translate as well for Japanese.

“Do this as a temporary measure. We will code it properly later” —> code that is hackish and will never be replaced.

“We need you to do this one time because of someBullshit” —> congratulations, your team had to do this thing outside of your specialty, even though there exists a team dedicated to it, and now we’re just going to make you do it over and over again (despite, again, a whole team dedicated to that existing).

Good News! Unless something has changed since I worked in healthcare IT, those systems are far too old to be impacted!

I’m half-joking. I don’t know what that kind of equipment runs, but I would guess something embedded. The nuke-med stuff was mostly linux and various lab analyzers were also something embedded though they interface with all sorts of things (which can very well be windows). Pharmaceutical dispensers ran various linux-like OS’s (though I couldn’t even tell you the names anymore). Some medical records stuff was also proprietary, but Windows was replacing most of it near the end of my time.

One place we had ran their keycard system all on a windows 3.1 box still. I don’t doubt some modern systems also are running on Windows which has interesting implications for getting into/out of places.

That said, a lot of that stuff doesn’t touch the outside internet at all unless someone has done something horribly wrong. Medical records systems often do, though (including for billing and insurance stuff).

I mean, I left but I still have to file taxes, can’t use any retirement plans in my current country (yay, PFICs), and otherwise get fucked by the government for daring to want to invest in my retirement. This is mostly why I still also vote.

I have some Shoes for Crews boots I bought back in roughly 2001-2. They’re a little less waterproof higher up now due to some cracking (probably because they sat in a hot storage unit for a while), but I still frequently wear them today when working outside.

Binging with Babish - the content just drifted away. He started doing a show with another guy and I just didn’t watch those episodes. Then, the content went further and I stopped watching.

Joshua Weissman - he just became insufferable at some point. I liked his older content.

Shadiversity, Sabine Hossenfelder - they have positions that cause hurt to people and that I morally do not agree with and won’t give watch time or ad/sub money to. There are probably more here, but I don’t recall. They’re welcome to their opinions, but I’m not entitled to view them or fund them.

First we Feast - mostly watched it for Hot Ones (the Motz’s stuff was fantastic!) but I got tired of Hot Ones, didn’t know most of the guests for a long stretch (not living in the US or really consuming US media made me lose track of things). I also kinda got burnt out on the format.

Linus Tech Tips - to me, it just became the arrogant, egotistical Linus show. There was some other stuff that kinda put me off as well. Maybe it’s better now, but I haven’t watched in a long while at this point.

A number of creators I’m not thinking of - I hate when prescription meds are advertised (which isn’t even legal in the vast majority of countries) and how they just want to sell dick pills without a real, non-conflict-of-interest doctor involved when the cause may not even be physical. I worked in healthcare for a long time and that just rubbed me the wrong way, particularly when creators in countries where it would be illegal for them on TV do it (and it may not even be legal/available in their country but it is in the country of at least US-based audience members).

Edit: and the 8-bit guy now, based on others mentioning things, checking other sources, and even checking up a follow-up video he made a year ago. I’ll pass.

This is interesting to me because, as a dude in his 40s, I grew up with adults (and even cartoons) saying ‘woman xxxx’ being the pejorative (i.e. damn woman drivers!). It’s been weird to seem to see this flip.
