A lot of US defaultism going on in this thread. Americans (and perhaps British) talking about the North American grey squirrel as the incarnation of all squirrels, when people elsewhere in the world would have very different experiences with their local native squirrels, who act quite differently to those.
This argument keeps missing that it is not only the quality but mainly the quantity of fakes which is going to be the problem. The complete undermining of trust in photographic evidence is seen as a good thing for so many nefarious vested interests, that this is an aim they will actively strive for.
Personally I think this kind of response shows how not ready we are, because it is grounded in the antiquated assumption that it is just more of the same old instead of a complete revolution in both the quality and quantity of fakery going to happen.
This is a good example of why the “weird” calling of the right is so effective. People on the left doesn’t mind being called weird, in fact many takes pride in it, it is what drives counterculture.
For right wingers everything is about fitting in and living up to their idealised 1940s standards. They are absolutely terrified of not belonging to their in-group, so it hits them right where it hurts, while their opponents are completely immune to it.
The way the Supreme Court works in the US is not how it works in most other democratic countries. The combination of that system with Common Law is quite unique in fact.
So there are lots and lots of already existing alternatives as to how to place a Supreme Court differently.

There are reactionary fascists in all age groups, new young generations of fascists are being hatched right as we speak. Nah, the US has “per serving” on the label instead of “per 100 gr.”. And since “per serving” is mostly an arbitrarily term (the legislation which defines it basically admits so much even), it means food producers can grossly mislead consumers about the contents of their food.
You would have to be very ignorant about the US immigration rules if you think it let’s basically everyone in.

It automatically assumes people are “embedded” in it, and that it is impossible to not participate. It is not as neutral a saying as you seem to think.
There are many types of game. The saying is specifically designed to perpetuate one particular game.
“Trying to feed your family” does not excuse everything. In fact I would say “they are just trying to feed their family” is almost on par with “it is what it is” as a thought terminating cliché.
