you’re high on mushrooms in the Viking age, the gods are everywhere
I’m usually pretty good with Tuesdays
Crime rates dropping in US, multiple companies working with NASA for ISS access, direct observation of gravitational waves, left reddit for Lemmy, multiple COVID vaccines in like a year from outbreak, more usage of renewable energy sources, etc. There are some obvious problems we need to get together and address as communities, countries, and species, but there are a bunch of improvements and advancements being made too.
Probably take a break for a month or two then look for some oss project or activism to participate in, play more music and video games, etc.
‘Boojz wah’, or if I’m feeling silly bourguignon. But I’d probably be more likely to use ‘middle class’ instead of the French.
Infinite patience and forgiveness for themselves, infinite hate and oppression for everyone else.
Obviously not their job and it’s his own actions being a racist piece of shit landlord in NYC that turned the public against him before he switched to Republican, and none of this is convenient when you only have two parties and one is stumbling over itself to be as despicable as possible and both prefer oligarchy over democracy.
Based on this thread peanut butter or peanuts goes with a lot more than expected.
Potato chips dipped in peanut butter or yellow mustard. Malt vinegar on eggs. Waldorf salad.
I dunno about the history but single page apps like react apps you can just accept the JS from the actual host in the address bar and leave all the rest turned off. Just tested on twitch. Accepting no JS loaded the home page and a spinner gif after selecting a stream. Accepted just twitch.tv and I could see the video stream and chat without having to accept any of the other hosts blocked.
If you’re switching a couple extensions are uBlock origin and no script with Firefox, prevents most ads and lets you choose which hosts to accept JavaScript from temporarily or permanently.
Don’t play the game if it’s rigged
Foreign government, moneyed interests, or domestic dipshits, taking all bets.
Anything by Infant Annihilator, it’s only a little nsfw
The speaker*
The speaker does not own the house and does not represent the whole of Congress. Opposing the speaker’s wishes is not the same as opposing free speech and an invite to speak is not a subpoena.
If it was a subpoena to speak before Congress then it would be a violation to oppose under a contempt charge like any American citizen would get, just like the previous administration violated subpoenas that should have resulted in charges except for Senate Republicans who chose not to do their job and enforce the law.
The speaker can invite whoever they want and the opposition party can try to prevent that within the bounds of the law if they oppose the invitee.
I’m not sure because google.com requires JavaScript and then when I enable it it says it’s had too much malicious behavior from my VPN address and to enable another host gstatic to connect to I’m guessing for a rechaptcha and I gave up
My assumption is economic in that they will continue to spend as oil and hydrocarbon fuels dependency drops worldwide as it’s replaced with renewables. It seems dogmatic organizations like religions, theocracies, etc tend to do poorly with incremental change, but we’ll see over the next couple decades. 30% of their trade is with China so it largely depends on Chinese markets and how/if they decide to change as the markets change.
The Princess Bride, silent movie comedies like Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplain, or nature docs are my go to sick watches
As someone who conferenced some basic ML research in early 2000s and then left academia for a boring/stable software engineering gig in a non IT org to escape the hype bubble only to end up having to talk to people about ML/AI frequently this article speaks to me.
