Happened on a recent flight with me. Company told us luggage was still on the origin airport, someone had an air tag and vehemently asked them to do a double check, and they miraculously found where it was supposed to be in the first place…

There apps that can filter entire instances
If they’re all on the same instance, there app that can block entire instances.
Agreed! Found some bad apples here and there lately, but in general people are nicer and more civil.
Soon on YouTube “how to make money on reddit”, “top 10 comments that will get you 9999 upvotes”
Ayooo 👋
You’re right, didn’t think about that.
Honestly is it even worth anything? Even on reddit I didn’t really pay attention to how much karma a user had, maybe when I wanted to check if it was a bot or something.
If you’re on android, connect has the ability to filter whole instances.
Yep. Jumped between a couple of instances because of it.
Same. I have ads blocked and open YouTube directly to my subbed channels only. Rarely open the home tab or check related videos because of the amount of click bait and bs.
I’m an average Joe and try to minimize my digital footprint as much as convenience allows, but keep seeing people say that this is paranoia and doesn’t matter.
Is there a way to do it by manually? Like just change the url to match the instance that you want?
Yes. It affected every app that I used so far. The only one I’m not sure is connect for lemmy (android), because it has its own hide read posts settings.
I think in general is quite effective against instances prone to trolls or bots.
Seems like the perfect repesentant to the GOP lol
