I’ve definitely noticed people who challenge anything you say by asking for a source, but make tons of unsourced claims themselves.
Also zeppo@sh.itjust.works. Not a lot of Zeppos out here.

I don’t know where you live so I don’t have any relevant suggestions, sorry.
Not by voting for people in elections they can’t win. Vote at the local and state level or in primaries for people who will enact voting reform.
I’d love to see this happen to the deluded fucknuts obsessed with the same about Michelle Obama.
Right, like “hey I’m going to post insulting and repetitive tripe and empty slogans, and make Lemmy worse after lunch today!” Great. Also, as countless people have pointed out, if they care so passionately about Palestinians, their activities are contrary to helping Palestine so…
I’ve started to wonder if it’s even a real person. They don’t respond with any measure of logic or awareness to anything at all, just “liberals want genocide!!” over and over.
Elon Musk says it a lot. Same conclusion.
Yes, 100% agree. No coincidence Netanyahu is a far right fascist and would prefer Trump himself.
Palestine seems like 60% of what I hear about in national news and on Lemmy. Ukraine, though, no so much. People can’t use it to talk shit about Biden, after all.
Swallowing requires coordination of a lot of different muscles. Do you mean that you can’t get the swallowing process to start or that you swallow and food doesn’t go down all the way?
I had a lot of problems with the latter when I was sick with undiagnosed celiac and later developing type 1 diabetes. I’d swallow fine, but it would feel like the food was stuck in my sternum and it was very miserable. They couldn’t find anything physically wrong with my esophagus at the time. My interpretation was the esophagus was inflamed from acid reflux and thus narrowed.
That mod was definitely not a great public representative. Why go on Fox at all? Pretty obvious they’d try to make you look bad.
I agree, I’ve said that about this phrase before! I can hate the player too. Not one of my favorite maxims.
That’s the entire point of the phrase, as far as how I’ve always interpreted it: don’t blame people for doing what’s best for them within a system they don’t control.
Huh, so they might do that in some places. What I meant is that I’m not familiar with them doing things like operating comparable stores in the same area. I guess I recall QFC vs. Fred Meyer from when I lived in Portland, and QFCs were small while Fred Meyers is set up like Target - large selection of non grocery items, and huge stores. In Colorado they have City Markets (small) and King Soopers (large) but City Market is up in small towns in the mountains and Western Slope, none in Denver, and King Soopers is all over Denver, none afaik in the smaller cities.
Kroger typically just operates one chain per region, which was a local chain they bought out for expansion. They don’t have multiple stores in an area that compete with each other or have different names.
Right. It’s obviously not a “real” change in price, it’s some bullshit.
They change prices per-customer to see how much they can get you to pay. It’s obviously maddening because you don’t want to ever order at the high rate, so there are times I just don’t buy things and wait. I had a similar experience with biscuit mix.
Because companies make their best and most reliable income from subscriptions.
I like to talk incoherent mumbles into voice-to-text.
