Your comment doesn’t make sense. He didn’t say he was told, he said he saw it and he never thought he would ever see anything like that. He said he saw a picture of 40 beheaded babies. That made the US people want to go to war. Regarding pixels, I never said anything like that, but I will say now that you brought it up, my expectation for Ned from Deluth and the president of the US are different. If you see a picture of brutalized and desecrated infant corpses and are told that the people who perpetrate that behead babies: You saw a picture of beheaded babies. If someone later analyzes that and says they can’t conclusively claim that: You say “Why the fuck did you just spend six hours of your life staring at gore? You are out on leave until you complete a psychiatric evaluation”

They have a history of beheadings, and there were images of babies with burned corpses and bloody sheets. Given that information, it’s not a far leap to see those pictures and thinking you saw a beheaded baby.

It is absolutely pertinent that a) he was wrong b) it was propaganda, and c) babies are dying from the actions of both sides and d) his state department has released a memo prohibiting discussion (with the press,) using words like “cease fire” and “peace talks”.
