The Taliban administration wants to formally join Chinese President Xi Jinping's huge 'Belt and Road' infrastructure initiative and will send a technical team to China for talks, Afghanistan's acting commerce minister said on Thursday.
Afghanistan has been known as a country with a lot of untapped mineral resources. Basically everywhere that China has invested is unstable enough where they’re very unlikely to replay much of their debt with China or pay back anything. A lot of money was spent in Russia in its energy sector and from news coming out that area of their economy isn’t flourishing.
Yeah I’ve learned a little about China making loans they know will default, which then give them ownership of ports or whatever as a remedy. I think they might be a little over optimistic that these contracts will ever mean anything though. Especially in a place like Afghanistan.
To transport what? Small dick energy?

Lithium and rare earth metals.
Heroin/opium?
Isn’t like the one good thing the Taliban does is banning the drug manufacturing.
