    By design. If you work 90 hours across three different jobs there is no time or energy left to organise.

      I’ve got enough trouble after 40. Can’t imagine how useless I’d be if I had to work double that.

    Is “slipped” the right word here, like “oops, that accidentally happened”?

    It seems more appropriate to call it “forced.”

    I suppose they havent considered moving to a State that doesnt have a stupidly high cost of living?

      Moving is expensive and often there’s more reasons than just cost keeping someone holed up in a place they’d rather not be. I’d love to move outta my state, but I can’t afford the move, wouldn’t be able to afford a higher cost of living, and there’s folks and family here I simply cannot abandon like that.

      Bro. I’m not even in California and it still cost me about five grand to move down the street to a different apartment. You can forget moving out of state. I can only imagine what it must be like for those poor folks.
