This is all I’ve run across on reverse engineering, so far but it is quite interesting.

Some of the trust comes from eyes on the project thanks to it being open source. This thing got discovered, after all. Not right away, sure, but before it spread everywhere. Same question of trust applies to commercial software too.
Ideally, PR reviews help with this but smaller projects esp with few contributors may not do much of that. I doubt anyone has spent time understanding the software supply chain (SSC) attack surface of their product but that seems like a good next step. Someone needs to write a tool that scans the SSC repos and flags certain measures like the # of maintainers.
PS: I have the worst allergies I’ve had in ages today and my brain is in a histamine fog so maybe I shouldn’t be trying to think about this stuff right now lol cough uuugh blows nose
🧠 – haha get fukt
I am so very confused right now.
Which is why the heavily moderated menslib sub on Reddit was so great, because they didn’t put up with that BS.
Fucking hell sorry your parents were abusive monsters.
I was alive and eligible to vote in 88 but I was a dumb kid that voted but didn’t pay attention to the primaries so I don’t remember him at all.
And he wasn’t a “great public speaker” in that he was known for saying dumb shit as you say. (If anything gaffe was a term that applied earlier to Dan Quayle, former VP).
I don’t recall for sure if the stutter was present then or to what degree.
I also don’t see a lot of evidence that he is mentally unfit (for his age) as far as I am aware.
Scary. But I’m glad they’re continuing the research and making progress. Article says about 14% of adults get long covid. Potentially quite a few people.
Glad to hear they finally arrested this guy. When the original story came out they pretty much let him go.
I certainly won’t bet against you on that, as much as I might hope you’ll be proven wrong. Shit is going to get wild depending on how the presidential election turns out.
Same. It’s pretty damn terrible.
No just minorities.
I will keep saying this like a broken record:
“Law and order” is a dogwhistle that means “oppress minorities”
“I do not believe we have to choose between law and order and racial justice in America,” Biden said in a speech this week. “We can have both.”
At the apex of the civil rights movement, … “Law and order” was “a strategy for reaching suburban voters without having to say the ugly part [talking about race] out loud,” says Leah Wright-Rigueur, a political historian and public policy professor at Harvard University. Source
Except from above:
“Law and order” might sound simple, a 1968 TIME cover story on the campaign pointed out, but to some it was “a shorthand message promising repression of the black community”—and to that community, it was “a bleak warning that worse times may be coming.”
Pass it on.
I get what you’re saying and I wonder also. But at the same time, the terrorism has been happening; look at all the racially motivated attacks we’ve seen since 2016.
I expect more. But to your point i wouldn’t be surprised to see another major act of domestic terrorism on par with the Oklahoma City Bombing.
I feel like things are way, way worse than they were back then. Way worse than it’s been since the civil rights era.
No no, the fetus is Hamas.
Yeah but many (most?) people were immunized as babies in the US. The vaccine was introduced in 1963. The measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines were combined into a single vaccine, MMR, in 1971.
Spot on
Except I think of it more like this
I swear I heard of cockapoos in the 70s but only heard of doodles in the last 10 years. I wonder if I just lived a sheltered existence or what ?
Mint is a good recommendation. I’ve used it for most of a decade because I just want my system to work.
