The skills required for a lot of game dev work are transferable to other industries (and paid better in other industries) with so many game layoffs/firings at once, they aren’t all going to try and stay in the industry, and in some cases a lot of institutional knowledge can be lost.

They do hate them, but generally conservatives believe in personal failings so do direct action against individuals, liberals believe in systemic failings so direct their effort towards changing the system, not the individuals.

Not OP, but I have over 500 hours in a couple roguelikes and over a thousand in Slay The Spire. Depends on how good the game is at providing different experiences.
I’ll admit to not being the most knowledgeable person on internal Israeli politics, but my understanding is hes been holding onto power for a while through a combination of coalitions and judge nonsense. Even then, if he represented the views of 51% of Israeli’s that would still be a lot of people who’s views don’t align with his.

Given that it straight up says everyone infected has had close ties to the poultry industry, and a doctor who works at the farm in question is quoted in the article, I think its safe to assume the infected doctors are 1: not human medical doctors, and 2: worked at the farm.
I’m not quite old enough to remember that first phase you are talking about, but I’m well old enough to remember the other two, and frankly, during them I don’t think the independent niche communities really ever went anywhere. But they are really dying or dead now, and it was discord that killed them.
Still no confirmed human to human transmission, they all worked at the same poultry farm. Likely not another world ending pandemic yet.

The current AI boom is all based on a single paper from about 7 years ago, and has been achieved by just throwing more and more computing power at it. There has been basically no meaningful architecture improvements in that time and we are already seeing substantial fall off from throwing more power at the problem. I don’t think its a given at all that we are close to the kind of disruption you are predicting.
Science tells us how to achieve objectives, democracy what our objectives should be. (obviously this doesn’t always work perfectly in practice).
I went to one like 17 years ago or so when it had first opened in my area, and it was basically just a subpar restaurant where the waitresses were wearing maid costumes. None of the shit you might see in an anime.

In terms of direct responses, Iran tends to behave extremely rationally in like game theory terms. Most countries do, though obviously some misjudgements of each others capabilities can happen. With that said, Iran does very transparently fund terrorists to do their dirty work for them (not that this is unique to Iran).
