I give the old ones a pass because they were made outside of Hollywood, on tiny budgets, with relatively unknown actors. The new ones cost millions and were full of big names throughout the whole production.

Mad Max Fury Road. I honestly don’t understand how people like it. The storyline is paper thin to the point of being almost missing. I guess the steampunk motif is good if you’re into that, but the rest of the movie was just trash.
WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Signal, etc. It’s hardly the end, the market has just been gobbled up by the big players as usual
It’s so much so that every news article that quotes it still says “X, formerly Twitter”.
I have young kids and recently learned what Roblox actually is. My kids will never be allowed to spend a cent on that. I am happy to buy them suitable games.
There’s no mention of apples in the biblical record, just “fruit”
The US rolled our democratically elected government in the 70s and we still lick their boots to this day. You’d be forgiven for thinking I was talking about a country in the third world, but I’m talking about Australia.

Should we start calling AAA batteries that now?
Everything has traces of faeces on it, this fixation on it seems irrational when you put it into context. The burger meat comes from a dead animal that spent it’s life wandering in a field and trampling it’s own shit. The fries come from the root of a plant grown in the dirt. The bun is made from wheat which was probably infested with mice. You yourself are a biological machine that turns food into energy and discards the waste. Your body has a tube filled with faeces right now.
Yes, we try to keep waste separate from food, but the world is not a clean-room.
Banning it would annoy them, but if they all just went missing without any fanfare then they wouldn’t notice; very few of them read it.
I’ve heard the exact same thing before: Chinese manufacturers will build to whatever quality you pay for, but almost everyone just asks for the absolute cheapest. The profit margins on the absolute cheapest quality are better than competing with other countries who can also produce higher quality goods.
Did they honestly try to argue that oral contracts are not binding? I mean it’s easy to pretend they didn’t happen, but if you admit you said it then it’s a contract.
Most people who have a higher education degree. I thought that was implied as you even mentioned it in your comment “ages in which students traditionally enroll in college”.
But placebos do still work when you know they’re placebos.
Yeah I was already a tiny adult when they came out. I tried reading them as an older adult and only got through one and a half.
It’s not even like trains are his white whale, he’s just trying to break any alternative to cars before they can catch on
Fortunately we already have a fusion reactor available to us, we just have to get better at harnessing the energy it produces.
It’s easy to believe he’s never read Mein Kampf. It’s easy to believe he’s never read a book at all. He might have read his own book, maybe.
People probably don’t care where you went to high school, but they probably care if you have a degree and when you got it. Most people go to university within a few years of finishing high school.
I never thought I’d say it, but that church needs Jesus (and someone literate enough to read their holy book).
