It’s a pet peeve of mine when people describe scientific progress as a miracle.
It’s not a miracle. It’s the result of a ton of work from many, many people. It’s also something that if you research it, you can probably understand it…at least on a basic level.
Semiconductor manufacturing is hard, but it’s something that humans are very good at, and we figured it out by ourselves.
…and chemistry is just layman’s physics.
Same here. At a family get together my older sister and the other older kids decided they wanted to watch Aliens.
I was all, “yeah, that’s cool. I’m cool. I’ll totally stay in here too.”
That movie scared. The. Shit. Out of 9 year old me.
I’m glad to be alive at the beginning of our war against the machines.
Pro tip: get audiobooks from your library…along with paper books, ebooks, games, movies, etc.
