Friday marked 5 years of sobriety from alcohol for me, which was nice. Then on Saturday I went to my city’s pride parade. I asked a friend to come with me, and another friend if they wanted to play a round of disc golf afterwards, but both cancelled. This usually means I wallow in self-pity, but instead I got geared up in my gayest outfit, and enjoyed the festival anyway! it was like 100 degrees, but I was proud to see so many happy people having a great time in one of the most welcoming, accepting environments ever.
My son caught his first fish! A 3 inch bluegill, we have an incredibly adorable photo!

You won’t believe it, I got up and went for a run! Yay!
Redoing the spark plug wires on my old truck and pulled off the valve covers and cleaned the rust off and painted them.
They’re looking real pretty now. Excited to get everything put all back together.
I got a good deal on a projector that I used to set up a home theater in the basement complete with ambient lighting, couches, and even a mini fridge. Now, I’m just waiting for the weekday to start so I can go to the store to pick up the cords I need for the sound system. Been playing my PS5 on it and it looks amazing!
I took a couple of very cute selfies in a new outfit and had a difficult but fruitful conversation with my girlfriend about some insecurities that I was having in the relationship.

Swimming! The summer heat is here (it was 98F/36C today) and the neighborhood pool is open, so there is no better place to be in the afternoons.
