Is it just me or don’t European trucks look better then North American trucks? Probably safer for pedestrian traffic as well as automobile traffic, as the driver does not have his sight lines obstructed by the front hood.
The phrase “Starter homes” no longer exists IMO. The homes that used to be starter homes are really way out priced and no longer really being built.
Instead this phrase is more along the lines of “starter condo”. Developer’s are only really building single family homes now (in north America) or large condo towers. One is for families and the other for singles/couples or investors. Most condos in a 3-4 bedroom range as well are nonexistence or priced higher then a single family home.
Things like fire codes and parking minimums are really causing this IMO. Most cities and towns are talking about the “missing middle”. These are homes placed between highrise condos and single family homes, such as four plexes, low rise developments and laneways. There are a few other examples as well.
Unfortunately developers can’t build these, not because of week demand, but because things such as parking requirements and fire code restrictions really make these developments not financially feasible for developers, plus cities can choose to shoot down any proposals or permits which adds to the cost. (Better to build whats know and tried)
Soon we will all be plastic. Its already in our food and water.
What i really think about is these are only the effects so far from the plastics that have started to break down from when plastics were created (smaller quantities). What happens when the plastics of today start to break down (larger quantities).
Kind of like the effects of oil (air pollution) being felt 30-50 years down the line.
I have tested both lingding and linkwarden. Lingding was easy to use and did the basics in bookmark management. Though I settled on linkwarden for its saving of webpages in different formats with folder and subfolder organisation in the UI.
Both are good options, but linkwarden seem to be more power user focused.
Absolutely, though I do wish more of the public and local governments would follow this type of mentality. Seems like most local towns and cities have lost this.
Seems like everything’s more along the lines of “if it’s not completely broken, then don’t bother fixing or even improving it.”
I play in 3rd person and I’m a ass man
Until they pull a Microsoft and start throwing ads into the paid model as well.
Or like all the other streaming platforms that you paid a subscription for to not see ads, but believe it or not you now have ads.
About 10-12 years back i went to Dominican (outside of resort’s). It was eye opening in a sense, though what shocked me then was the amount of empty 2L bottle everywhere, it was insane.
I think one or the draw backs with aluminium cans though is they still have that plastic lining inside?
Coke cans and most pop for example still have plastic inside. Canada even recently made a paper wine bottle, but believe it or not, plastic bag inside a paper bottle.
Its funny that basis things like working plumbing, or access go clean water could be considered luxurious.
I would keep my current job as well but take a day off each week (instead of one of my weekend days) to cleanup my surrounding neighbourhood. I would probably use the extra income to repair some wood benches, buy paint to cleanup graffiti on walls, and throw down grass seeds along local trails.
Didn’t I pay for the OS?
Definitely a choice, and if transit was more viable without it being stuck in the same car traffic I am sure more people would make the switch.
Aegis is a good alternative. Took a while to do the transfer as they don’t allow export of the tokens.
Natural gas = Fossil gas
Performance is great IMO, I store all my Plex media on this setup as a network share and never have any issues or slowdowns. I only use the setup as a strict NAS nothing else.
I started with 9 drives at 12tb first, about 3 years later (mid this year) i added the second vdev to my main pool. 9 drives 20tb each.
V-devs do not require to be the same size between v-devs, but they do require to have the same amount of drives in each.
I have unraid and proxmox setups on other machines running independently. Plex and other software for example all access my TrueNAS over the network.
For the TrueNAS system IMO you don’t need much “horsepower”. I run it on a 12 year old motherboard, 12gb ram and a 60gb SSD to boot. Nothing special at all. Unraid and proxmox on the other hand is where I spend the money on ram and processing power.
My Network is gigabit and I get full speed on network transfers, looking to do 10gb in the future, but that would require 10gb NIC’s in all my PC’s and new network switches. Don’t see it effecting my TrueNAS sytem setup. Besides your network transfer is only as fast as the read/write of the drives.
I run TrueNAS myself in this case. I have two v-devs of 8 drives each in raid 2.
Both v-devs have a extra spare each. 4 SSDs are used for quick read and write and the 5th SSD for os boot.
Fractal Design Define 7 XL
You can fit 18 HDDs into it plus 5 SSDs at the same time without custom mount points.
Though you do need to buy the extra brackets and trays.
Not my build exactly but a example.

Could malware be installed without access to the physical phone? How would this be achieved. Is it with a backdoor from the phone manufacturer or infected somehow from the sim card service provider.
